How To Make Quick Money With PPC Marketing

Last Update: March 17, 2016

Hello folks and if you want to start driving traffic to your site in minutes, then you would be hard pressed to beat PPC Marketing. However unless you know what you’re doing, PPC costs can add up fast.

What is PPC Advertising?

Pay per click marketing/advertising, or PPC, is pretty simple: Search engines like Google and Bing allow businesses and individuals to buy listings in their search results. These listings appear along with the natural,non-paid search results.

These ads are sold in an auction. You bid what you want to pay for a click on the ad. Bid the most and you have a pretty good chance of ranking number 1 in the results.

Pay per click advertising can also generate traffic right away. The process is really very simple. If you spend enough, get top placement, potential customers will see you first. If people are searching for the keywords or keyword phrases on which you bid and you’ve placed a well-written ad, you will get clicks the moment the ad is activated. (It’s not unusual that with Google AdWords you can generate targeted traffic within a few minutes of opening an account).

To make PPC work you will need to test keywords/keyword phrases, Ads, landing pages and offers to find a profitable combination. But when you do, you can scale things up and start making serious money every month.

When you have your own website and want to monetize it, you can usually get connected with these PPC networks in the graphic below so you can start generating some revenue (as I mentioned above, Adsense is the best paying of the group).

If you have some spare cash and want it to make you more then go ahead and give it a go but remember costs can add up.

Have a nice day or evening folks and leave a comment if you want to and perhaps you have already tried this method and can pass on a tip or two to your fellow members.

I've just started using Bing Ads and I'm getting clicks, but no conversions. I don't know how to "test" keywords. I mean, how many clicks should I pay for before I give up on a keyword (or ad for that matter)?

Hello Debra. You just caught me as I'm about to head of home.
I have to ask - Did you take Kyles training on PPC?
Here is the link to it and if you go through it step by step I'm sure you will come away with all you need to get a PPC Campaign up and running and know what to do and what to look for. Enjoy your Friday and maybe catch you later.

Take care with PPC if your funds are limited because it can cost.
Enjoy your day when it dawns.

Hi Robert,

Many thanks for this great post on PPC. This is something that I haven't done yet with affiliate marketing but hope to use when I have the spare cash to spend. I used PPC ads when I had my virtual secretarial business and had some success but I'm sure it would have been greater if I had been more proficient with the procedure. I am bookmarking your post until I have the necessary resources available!!

Have a great day.

Hello again Valerie and yes please do try it when funds are available but have a spare shirt handy just in case you lose another one lol.
Best to start of low and once you have more spare dollars you can up the ante as they say.
Thank you for this comment and for dropping by.
Enjoy your day.

Hi Robert. Thanks for sharing. I want to learn how to use Adwords properly. Do you know of any really good free online courses? I have started one on you tube by Claudio Gustavo Quinteros. Just checking in case you have a better suggestion. Thanks in advance. Olive

Just type "adwords" into the white search box at the top of any WA page. WA has tons of training on it.

FYI - last year FaceBook overtook AdWords and is now cheaper and better targeted than AdWords.

I've recently set up a FaceBook ad, just to give it a go, and it's seriously painful - I can see most people abandoning the setup halfway through.

WA has a ton of training on FaceBook ads. Find it the same way as above.

How goes it Katie. Snowing here and I'm not home yet so fingers crossed the roads aren't too bad.
You be sure you have the money to spare before you test the water again coz you can lose as easily as you can make money.
So although the rewards can be high the losses can be as well.
Time I was back out on the street so take care and might catch you tomorrow.

Hello Rae Anne and thank you for your comment.
Its worth having a go if you have the spare funds.
Then you can up the ante as they say and make quite a lot of money very quickly.
Of course you can also lose your shirt if done wrongly.
I did add a couple of links to the blog for further info if you decide to give it a go I would read them first.
One of them is about 2 years old but the info is still relevant.
Enjoy your Sunday.

I'm a great fan of PPC for several reasons:-

a) it's blisteringly fast: traffic arrives within minutes of posting the ad

b) it's highly effective ... IF ... IF ... if you target your ads correctly. I got 17 signups in just a few days

c) it's ridiculously cheap ... IF ... IF ... if you target the correct keywords ... AND ... and you set the ads up correctly. My 17 signups cost $0.15 each.

The reason most people get poor results is because they don't do "b" and "c" above.

PPC is counter-intuitive. The ad must NOT make people click it.

Remember - this is "PAY" per click.

No click = no cost = FREE.

You don't want idiots clicking it just to find out what it's about, then wandering off without spending any money. You've paid for that wasted click, and will continue spending your money for zero results.

The ad must be the "in" door for those who "WANT TO PAY FOR WHAT'S ON OFFER".

So the ad must be crystal clear to them. There must be no conflict or deception when they land on the sales page. They've arrived, ready to spend. The cost of that click is PAID FOR BY THEM.

Hello Chris and thank you for your in-depth comment.
Yes I totally agree with you on A, B and C.
I also agree that you don't want to 'Badger' people with false promises and in fact my latest site article is going to be about advertising through Articles, Press Releases, Newsletters and Classified Ads with the message - don't promise what you can't deliver.

Will send you a link after I publish.
Have a great Sunday.

Glad we're on the same page, could've got messy otherwise.

Totally agree the "don't promise what you can't deliver" message. Should be written in blood. There is a temptation for newbies to overpromise, thinking it attracts. It doesn't. It repels.

Hi Robert! Great post! But you have to pay for it right?
Reply
Robert-A Premium
Yes as I said in the blog - These ads are sold in an auction

You bid what you can afford.

You have to be careful because the cost can be quite high which is ok if you get lots of visitors and they buy from your site.

If you're new to marketing i would stay away from this until you have more experience.
Thank you for your comment.
