How To Optimize Your Website Content
Hi Folks
Yet again I have been asked numerous times this week about the Meta Tag and Titles.
This year and in fact any year, Meta Descriptions (Tag) – these are the small snippets of text that show up in Google’s search engine results directly below your Title URL – remain incredibly important.
It’s worth noting that Google recently increased its meta description length to around 320 characters providing marketers with further opportunity to optimize their content.
What is the very best way to catch people's eye when they land on the Search Engine Results Pages? (SERPs)
As far as I'm concerned, and this is from personal experience, the best way is to have an awesome Title followed by a Meta Tag Description rich in keywords.
This of course will encourage people to want to read further so they click through to your website where they will find your content.
Its important that your content should be written with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in mind.
This means structuring your content for easy readability and keywords, and preferably long-tail keywords. You should also be breaking your content up with headers and sections into chunks of text that are easily digestible.
You should always include Relevant keywords but don’t overuse them or the search engines will penalize you for keyword stuffing. Ensure your keywords are inserted in such a way as to seem natural. That is to say – the sentence with the keyword doesn’t sound awkward and makes sense to the person reading it.
If you have trouble finding good keywords then can I suggest you use keyword explorer tools to identify the most relevant long-tail keywords.
How Do You Encourage Visitors To Click Through To Your Website
Of course this is a great Title that will hook the reader in. As I said above - Catch The Visitors Eye.
The most popular content remains list style, how-to articles, and titles urging you to find out what happens next.
I found a Headline Analyser Tool a few years ago and to date I haven't found a better one so I urge you to at least give it a try.
I have managed to get 190% with it and it does take some trial and error to achieve this but it can be done with a little bit of perseverance.
It will help you find great titles if you use such a tool as this one - Advanced Marketing Institute’s - to assess and optimize your content title.

Great post about the importance of meta titles and descriptions, Robert!
Periodically, I re-visit pages and posts to update or improve these things, even though I am up to 120+ articles, now. That's how important I think it is!

Very important points always to keep on mind when pumping in content. I didn't know Google has increased the character count for meta description. Recently I included one on my posts and didn't seem to give me as much but I will be trying it out in my next post.
