Think Before Beginning A Home Business

Hi Folks

I know my profile info says I've been here since 2014 but it was actually 2013 when I joined and since then I have seen so many people leave.

I put this down to the fact that so many people who begin home business ventures have not given enough thought to what it takes to start and succeed. When they find out it leaves them disillusioned and discouraged.

Any individual thinking about starting a work at home business should really understand what they may be getting into.

Right now there are so many young people joining WA, and of course they want to try their hands at working at home on the Internet. It is just amazing how many of them do not have the slightest idea of the workload they are taking on.

I'm willing to wager that a great number of these people did not even sit down and assess what that they see as a reasonable personal goal. This is certainly going to be a huge problem on their part.

Any person and I do imply everyone thinking about seeking a home business opportunity should consider the next issues about their character and state of mind:

1) You must really know what you want in order to find a method to obtain it.

2) It ought to be clear to everyone willing to enter the internet marketing world; if you are not sure whether or not you have the drive and a willingness to achieve success you might want to save yourself some money and lots of aggravation.

3) It is not hard to want something, and you may understand how you have to get it. But there is this little issue of dedication and willpower. Do you have it? If not then why put yourself through the agony of failing and wondering exactly where you went wrong.

This idea of the struggles people face, in corporate and in life is merely that. Problems. The winners will make it through and the weak will fall. This has always been a true facet in life since the beginning of time.

People also do not get the fact that because it is their business, and not someone else's responsibility that they in turn will have to work probably that much harder to keep it going. When these people hear the nonsense about working one hour a week and striking it rich, I truly feel sorry on their behalf because they will surely re-enter the earth's atmosphere, and hit the earth with an almighty thud.

Once again this may be nothing at all more than naivety. And not total stupidity.

The unfortunate part for most newcomers to working online is that they have absolutely no idea just what it entails on a time basis.

What must be remembered is that success cannot be bought in a can. It's the single marketing plan and strategy that is doomed to fail. You must be able to walk many avenues in order to reap the benefits associated with the successes it can yield. Buy into what you feel truly will get you success, listen to what other more experienced marketers within wealthy affiliate say and try to catch on quick.

The internet marketing field is incredibly fast and waits for no one. The best way to do business is to spread out your resources as much as possible.

I really do hope a lot of the newer WA members will read this blog and perhaps take onboard what the underlying message is.

By all means give it a go. But if after your 7 day trial there's the doubt in your mind that you will struggle, then get out before you end up losing more than money you can't afford to.

Enjoy your weekend folks.

Great advise. An entrepreneur has to want it and be willing to invest the time to making his/her plan work.

They also need to be flexible to adapt when the initial plan isn't working.

Hello again Sondra.
I have to ask - is this another of my blogs that has made you stop and think?
Of course it is and I hope you went away more determined than ever to succeed.
Just drop me a PM if you ever get stuck.
Enjoy your Saturday.
Robert

LOL. Robert, I didn't have to think about this one.

Very well said. But relax into your hard work and success by knowing that creative enterprises do not have it all figured out from the start. I have studied dozens of niche's and learned all manner of things in preparation first.

Yes John it pays to do your homework.
Research can be a wee bit tedious but best to be sure of something before you start otherwise you could find yourself in deep poo further down the line.
Thank you for your comment and hope you're having a good one.
Robert

Hi Robert,
That is so true.. this is not a get rich quick idea. It requires work and dedication to be a success.

Real nice Mr. Robert. I am a new member and when I see something like this makes me feel like theres still hope for us who are as you said ready to break the ice and get true. Thanks for all advices and motivation Robert one more time. Wish you best of luck.

Hello Milan and I did notice you want to follow me as well.
Will get round to replying asap.
Meanwhile as a new member and new to internet marketing you should read some of my blogs and as I said in this blog listen to what the more experienced of the WA Membership says.
Their tips and advice are usually spot on.
I hope you do well.
Onwards and Upwards and enjoy your Saturday.
Robert

yes, many people don't know what they getting in to it.
It takes lots of work and endurance.
great post .

Hello Sylvia and thank you for stopping by and reading my blog.
You have been here since last November so I take it you do believe you can succeed and I wish you well.
Have a great day.
Robert

Dear Robert

I never start if I know I can not finish it. I am making already good income. I do not stop until I succeed.

Good for you girl ever onwards and upwards.
Robert

That`s well Put, In my estimation, It will take 2 to 5 years to make a Living online, you will probably make a sale here and there, but that won't sustain you for very long.

People come here with Rose colored glasses on and they get discouraged and pack up.

Also why you are learning you have to remember you have to renew every 12 months or monthly if that`s the case.

I would say to all new people here if you have a job DON`T leave it until you have a good grasp on what`s entailed that way you can go through the lessons carefully and say to yourself I will do this because it`s for my future.

Equally well put comment Lou.
I have been in the business over 10 years now and I learn some little thing every single day.
You will never stop learning simply because the internet will be forever evolving. And lets not forget that beast that goes by the name of Google lol.
It will certainly keep you on your toes.
Have a great Saturday.
Robert

Wise advice Robert, cut your losses fast before you lose to much time and money. It's very important to make an honest self-assessment.
This is not for everybody.

Ok Kaju - you're Off The Hook (couldn't resist that lol).
You have been around the block as they say but there truly are so many Newbies who haven't the faintest idea and jump in there with their size 12's only to sink without trace.

Don't get me wrong though. The WA training is first class and if its followed step by step as its supposed to be then even the most inexperienced person can make money.

It does take dedication, commitment and absolutely 100% focus on the job in hand.

Hope you're having a great Saturday.
Robert

Agreed on all counts. Amd btw, thanks for the "Off the Hook" acknowledgment Robert. Yes we are!

Nicely said Robert ... I think this is where so many people fall down. They get sucked into 'Not working' to earn the money, but in fact you have to do the opposite and word extremely hard and focused to make AFFILIATE MARKETING a success ... Yes, it will get to the stage where you can take the foot off the pedal a little when an only WHEN you reach your income goal levels. And even then, don't stop, because the income will eventually stop !

Awesome post and maybe the inspiration many new members to WA should take, BEFORE making the commitment to fully join our motley crew.

We'll help out where we can, but you have to have it in YOU

If you're not willing to give it a shot 110% - Why bother ?

Have a GREAT Day !

Hello new follower Richard and thank you for stopping by and for your input.
The new members shouldn't really set themselves such unrealistic goals to begin with.
They should have small goals which are attainable in the short term and eventually those small goals will take them to their ultimate one and then they can truly say they've made it.
But as you say a little easing off the pedal but to continue with their plan for financial security as long as they want to.
Have a great Saturday.
Robert

I am new here and I agree I have seen alot of people set their goals to millions while mine is a $500 figure monthly, and I already get $100-$150 without this place so I think my goal is realistic with the help of WA :)

Well done you Adam. Yes your goals MUST be realistic ones or you are doomed to failure.
Sadly so many new members come out with fantastic figures for their goals which are truly unrealistic and especially if they have no previous experience.
Have a great Saturday and weekend.
Onwards and Upwards.
Robert
