Wanted - An Effective Action Plan For Your Internet Marketing

I see so many new members "Asking what do I do to get started?"
I have to say that Internet marketing isn't the easiest thing to get started on and of course to make money from. But the one thing that those new members are overlooking is that they have no plan of action. They want to get started with no clear direction in mind. They have no PLAN!
A great many of those new members may think they have a plan, but just signing up to Wealthy Affiliate to make money is not a plan. Let me be more specific. Jotting down a few lines of text on a piece of scrap paper saying I'm going to do this, that and the other is not a plan. Creating a plan for your home business will take time and effort. Without a plan you will be probably make some money but it will be a trickle instead of the steady income you are here to learn how to earn.

Just like the sitemap for a website is there for the search engines to define what your site's all about a business plan is a sort of road map to help you define and achieve your goals.
So how do you create a good business plan? A good way to start your business plan is to think of where you want to end up, then start working backwards from there. What steps will you have to take? How much money will you make? How will you make it? How much will you invest? What marketing methods will you use to promote your online business? Answering questions like these will help you create a good plan.
Those questions you ask yourself are important. Try to think of as many aspects of your business as you can. Be as detailed and specific as you can.
Once you have the answers to your questions then you can begin to draw up your plan of action. Arrange things in such a way that they make sense. You should also divide your plan into short, and long term goals. You have to build your business a little at a time. You need to grow your business and grow with it.
A saying we Scots have taken from a poem by our national poet is - The Best Laid Schemes Of Mice And Men Aft times Gang Agley. This means that no matter if you believe you have a great plan more than likely you will have to make changes along the way or the plan will start to fall apart. There's no way you will be able to predict just how your plan is going to turn out. No plan should be written in stone but it should work for you if you have taken everything into consideration. There is no joy in failure folks, and that's a fact!
To finish - The key to making money in internet marketing is to have an effective business plan. If you don't have one, can you in all honesty say you have a viable business? I don't believe so simply because if you want to make money like a real business, then you need to treat it like one.
There you have it folks and I hope all who read this blog have a plan or its the first thing on their agenda today, right now in fact so get to it.

Great advice for business plan neophytes, and pretty good review for those of us who SHOULD already know. I'd written and executed several business plans before I built my first e-commerce site in 2001, but I wasn't rigorous about the plan for that marketing effort. After 15+ years of lackluster performance, I now have a new site and a rough plan - I'm counting on WA training to help me fill in most of the blanks. This post should be a big help with that.

Thanks Robert. I'm counting on the development of the plan as you suggest. So far it looks promising. What remains to be seen is simply the timing and the question of whether this process delivers quickly enough to preserve my existing business.
In any case, I feel I'm learning more than enough to justify the trip, and it's a fun journey, to be sure.

You can but try different tactics and as I said what works you keep the rest will be surplus to requirements so perhaps a different direction is called for.
You wont know if you don't try as they say.
