I get lots of PMs, and I also see it in comments and on Live Chat quite a lot as well. What I mean is that a lot of Newbie, and surprisingly not so Newbie members are asking what can they do to stand out from the crowd? What can they do to make their website unique? How can they get people to come to their website instead of going to someone else's?
Below I've listed five things you can do that have served me well over time to stand out from the crowd.
1. The first is to have freebies available on your website. If perhaps you are planning to promote your product or business, offering a freebie is a wonderful way of attracting potential clients to your site. You potential customer will appreciate it and you will be establishing good terms with the clients even before they shop through your website. Consider offering a free e-course, a free of charge e-book, a free newsletter, or even free trial period software. The further you want to stand out then the more unique your free offer should be.
2. Next content is still king folks so be sure your website is packed with content or products that you have become an expert on. You may well not have a lot of knowledge about a particular product at first but it is important to the survival of your business that you gain all the knowledge you can and as fast as possible.People are more likely to buy from people they believe know what they're talking about.
3. Third is that you simply should make your site attractive to search engines. Do your homework regarding Keywords and the different Tags. If you want heavy traffic, you need to have your website ranked high on the search engines.
4. Being aware of your competition constantly is the fourth tip. You should be aware so that you can take advantage of any opportunity to gain an edge by networking with those who have similar ideas. Just remember to use good judgement when selecting link partners. This can be possible by joining a forum where you can get to know the people and exchange ideas with them.
5. Finally, tip five is to exhaust all the avenues of traffic to your site. If you want to make it big with an Internet home based business then this is the most important part. You don’t just have to stick to online marketing, consider offline methods such as television, radio, newspapers, etc. Make sure you cover every possible avenue that can bring traffic to your website.
There you go people and I know these tips work because I've been using them for many years now.

Proof of the pudding people - this blog was number 2 on page one of Google within six minutes with About 91,400 results. Pretty good going wouldn't you say? This result was simply for my Title, Keywords and Headline.
Make no mistake and don't listen to anyone who tells you keywords are not important as are other SEO Factors.

I also loved what you said about creating more content on your website. The more content you have, the more appealing you are to your visitor and the better you rank on google. Am I correct?

I think if you say buy one get one free you would need a Digital product of your own.
Its either that or be a promoter for a big company that would agree to your promotional idea.
