Hey WA ... it's been a while since I've asked a question to you lovely folks.

Tell me something. I have been getting in a slow but steady stream of starter referrals. A

Members that join via your WA affiliate links stay on your list of Starter referrals forever.

You can't remove them from the list and you DON'T WANT to do so!

I just had a sale a few days ago from a member that joined 140+ days ago!

So don't look at the list and focus on improving your Starter to Premium conversions. Send them welcoming messages, help people to understand WA, share some bonuses, etc.

You have just earned your "Good Deed for the Day" Badge! I really appreciate the advice. I didn't think about it that way. Take a big virtual hug.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Cheers! Have a great day 👍🙂

I have lots of starter referrals too... I like what you said about 'sharing some bonuses'.

Thank you Ivan!
Monica

No problem. There’s a lesson at the end of Affiliate Bootcamp where Kyle explains how to send welcoming messages and bonuses to your referrals to improve conversions.

I guess you can tell who didn't finish bootcamp ... lol. I'll get there

Hi Ivan, thank you for your response.

I don't see the welcoming messages and bonuses to referrals at the end of Affiliate Bootcamp....

Here it is:

I have several of those too, Roberta! I feel your pain!

Jeff

I guess I need to start looking at them as potential and not "what didn't work out". Gotta find a positive spin somewhere ... lol

Yes, Roberta! We do, indeed!

Jeff

I believe the cookie is lifelong.

wow!... thanks

Forever! Unless they are deleted due to spamming etc or they delete their own account. There is always the possibility they will upgrade years later.

Thanks for that Diane.

Thanks Diane. What happens if they sign up again way in the future under another WA affiliate?

It's a lifetime cookie, so they should remain as your referral.

Not sure Roberta, I have one from a year and a half ago!

Well Diane gave us the answer there Joe.

Yes, she did :)

I love the features and flexibility that generate press pro provides. But I'm wondering how easy is it to navigate for someone without the techy background?

My experienc

Hi Roberta,
I started with the free version of GP and now use pro.
I find it easy to use in part because there is a lot of support when I need it. I do like a simply laid out, clean site though. I have no idea how it works for more complicated sites.
:-)
Richard

Generate Press is a great

Thanks for the endorsement. Appreciated.

I use a different theme but Jay’s training has convince me to reconsider the option of using GP theme. Go to his trainings. I benefitted from it even though it some were short but still it provided me a lot of value. We have some trainings on here about GP.

Thanks I guess we're pretty much on the same wavelength. I'll definitely be checking our some more training.

Appreciate the feedback

Hey Roberta,

As long as you are not afraid to Google search for ANY issue you find that you are having trouble understanding with GeneratePress, then you will be a VERY happy camper... well, at least I have been.

Nearly EVERYTHING I needed help with, all I had to do was to do a proper Google search and POOF! The resolve was offered to me straight away.

The few times that I had to put in a ticket to the developer, I ALWAYS received a response within a reasonable of time that resolved my issue.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Trish, was that GP free/change version & block/classic?

Thanks in advance.

Edward

Hey Edward,

To be honest with you, I don't remember much about the free version of GeneratePress simply because that theme came so highly recommended to me (and, BOY am I glad I listened!), so I installed the freebie but immediately updated to the paid version.

It is not that pricey and the developer isn't one to walk away from his theme like Thrive did to their paying customers.

I use GeneratePress with the Classic Editor on 2 sites and I use the Block Editor with this theme on another post. I will always prefer the Classic Editor.

However, WordPress (WP) has already stated that they will be deserting the Classic Editor in the near future. So, WP is forcing my hand in converting my sites to using only the Block Editor, over the next few years.

I would think that if you were to set up the equivalent of templates in the block mode you could fly putting together content for your blog?

Yes and no...

Most of my embedded YouTube scripts I have to use the HTML block in order to use the size that the video is displayed at that I want... plus other issues I've run into.

Thanks Trish and no fear here. I like the idea of being able to tinker and get exactly what I'm looking for. Plus the Develop seems willing to assist if I run into problem so that sounds great.

I appreciate the advice!

Thank you.

Should we edit and adjust every article we've ever written until it gets indexed or is there an acceptable "win/loss" ratio that could be acceptable.

Just wondering when

It can happen that all articles are not getting indexed, but of course this will be the goal. You can always do some amendments to not indexed post. It might help sometimes :)

Hey
All posts should be indexed unless you have chosen not to. You can edit your post at any time, don't matter if indexed / ranked or not. But if me I would not change the URL.
Please reach out if you need help or a hand.
Wishing you well, continued success and a terrific day.

Thanks for your thoughts Lula. Appreciated

You're welcome.

Hi

Apologies I am not understanding your question? What's with the percentage?

You can always request indexing of your posts.

Are you relating this to your scores?

Basically I'm asking whether you can expect every article you write to get indexed. I have one that's been out there quite a while so wondering if to leave it alone or continue changing it up to see if it gets indexed.

Hope I was able to make it clearer.

Sure thing, but not every post will rank.

I'd request indexing, I'd also resubmit my sitemap.

Great ... thanks for the advice

No worries you are so very welcome.

I'd carry on updating blog 2 - 3 posts a week a niche a site which I am sure you know, to increase chances of posts getting ranked down the line.

That's the goal but I struggle with 2-3 posts a week. I'll get there eventually.

Thanks.

This will be added to my toolkit. Thanks Abie

You should never give up, Roberta
I've realised that sometimes if you use site content, you do not always get an email notification

If you look in Google console and Bing, you would sometimes see that your articles are indexed.

Otherwise, Google take its time to do so and some articles are indexed faster than other, although I am not sure why

I haven't tried using other options so that's a great idea. Just wondering if I should leave it alone and accept that not all articles get indexed. It's been quite a while.

Thanks for your thoughts Simone

Indexing means that Google has found your post
I would resubmit again to Google and see what happens

Hello Roberta, I think that some of the articles not indexed will probably be so at a later date.

I thought so as well but this particular article has been out there over 3 months which is unusual in my experience. So just wondering if I should move and accept that not all articles are indexed.

Thanks for your thoughts on the matter Gary.

Hey guys looking for some tips/advice

I have one particular post that's driving the most traffic to my site. What suggestions do you guys have for me to maximise use of

I would consider sharing your posts on social media.

I really need to pay more attention, be more consistent, to that side of things. Thanks Yvonne.

Your welcome

I would make sure to get a couple of comments per week on this post to keep it up in rank.

Good answer and similar to what I was going to suggest for confirmation of your answer

that would, wouldn't it. Would love some of those persons visiting to do that but so far only comments i've requested through site comments ... lol

But its a start though Roberta

Awesome question, Roberta
Thank you for asking

Hi Roberta,
See if you can take parts of that post and build other posts linking back to it, and also link out to them from it.
It could be headings or parts of a paragraph that you can easily add more information.
So add a link "see more info here" which clicks to your new post, and "see original article here" on your new post.
Michael.

Brilliant answer, Michael
Thank you

I like that idea Michael ... Thanks a lot.

Hey
That's really great news.
Depends many elements, how old, a post or a review? Is there a focused offer? Do you have internal links? Our posts does fluctuate up and down the scale in SERPs till Google finds a better positioned place for it. What's the engagement?
Please reach out if you need help or a hand.

Hey folks

Is it okay for me to link WA training to my website. E.g. if I'm talking about domain registration and hosting can I link one of Kyle's training in there?

<

You can link from your website to any of the thousands of posts or members trainings at WA. You can link uding your own affiliate link to any if them.
:-)
Richard

Absolutely, Roberta!

This is a great traffic building strategy.

Trish and Abie have you covered. 🙂

Cassi

Hey Roberta,

Here's a tutorial to show you how: Hope you find this helpful.

Yes absolutely. I do

great thanks

No problem. If it helps further I also link in to my training if its relevant.

Don't forget if you don't have any training but know of a train that is relevant to your post you can still link to it and when the reader signs up they come to you

This might also help

Thanks for this added piece of advice Dave.

Your welcome, I'll enjoy reading it when its done. I always enjoy your content : )

Hi

Yes.

With yours they get a prompt 20 seconds later to sign up but they can click 'x' top right of pop up to close it and carry on, that's if not wanting to do so.

If they do, they get listed as referrals with you
