Hey guys,

Can someone direct to me to a training resource here to how I can change my hosting to another platform? And could you please give any recommendations to any ho

Sorry to hear that Robbie.
Here's a list i recently compiled;
https://kwidzin.org/top-10-web-hosting-sites-of-2021/
Hope that helps
Good Luck
Kev

Thanks so much! I will take a look!

Why would WA promote hosting on another site when they just here!! And why would you pay for it elsewhere?

He's already told you why he'd pay for it elsewhere
Nobody aid anything about WA promoting hosting. He asked if anyone could recommend any.

I have just such a resource on my own website, Robbie. Search Google for "move website from wealthy affiliate" (without the quotes) and look for my name near the top of the list.

Awesome, I will check that out! Thanks Marion!

Hi

Yes, https://www.hostingadvice.com/

Hosting here is provided with your subscription to the platform, as a premium plus subscriber you get to host up to 50 premium websites, unless you are thinking of leaving. And if that, for any websites hosted here, you need arrange alternative hosting for your website before your subscription ceases as you would be locked out the platform, site support back ups are only available for 60 days.

You can never revert back to being a starter.

I also suggest you backup your sites, you can use the AIO WP Migration or Updraft plugins. UpdraftPlus is a premium and highly recommended
.
Also domain names must have passed the grace period of 60 days.

Thanks a lot for the info!

So very welcome.

I am recently connecting to Google Adsense to place Ads on a new site and I know there are a ton of ways to place Ads on your site.

Google recommends using SiteKit Plugi

Hi, Do not recommend using SiteKit as it slows down your site exponentially. You can still log inn to GA, GSC etc for your stats.

You can use the Headers & Footers plugin or the Ad Inserter plugin, I prefer the latter. Either way, you do not want to edit your themes files directly as you will lose your changes when the theme updates or if you change your theme.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I think I am going to go with Ad Inserter Plugin. It seems like the most popular recommendation here.

I don't plan on placing any ads on my site unless, perhaps, it has to do with my niche.
Is that normal for everyone?
What kind of ads are you interested in placing? Ads outside of your niche, inside, or both?

Hi, I wouldn't replace ads not related to site. Do not recommend using SiteKit either as it slows down your site exponentially. You can still log inn to GA, GSC etc for your stats.

Hi,

Having control over your site is what is most important. You can set the rules on what you put in and you may put in ads unrelated if they have some connection to your content you have the power to choose.

Not the same if you have allowed someone to place their ads on your site for a fee and you've no control over where they set ads and what kind of ads they put in.

Hope you come ok!

Ntlhane

Thank you

Thank you

I have just left you a message in live chat, Hopefully it will be a help.

Like I said in Live Chat, I would instead use Ad Inserter plugin. It gives you a little more control over ad placement than some other options.

You can get all the information SiteKit provides with google analytics / search console without having to install a heavy plugin that can bring down site speed.

Good luck with what you decide!
Best, Shannon

I've heard for SEO it's good to put your title as a H1 heading again in the article, usually after the intro. This makes for two H1 headings in your article (one as the actual

I've always learned from day one here to use only one H1 Title heading.

If you use a plugin like Yoast SEO, it will give you a warning if you use more than one HI heading.

Thanks for clarifying!

My pleasure:)

H1 headings are for titles only all other title tags should be 2,3,4, or very rarely 5 and 6

So in Wordpress, the actual title tag is H1 (already pre-done). So that is the only H1 tag I need for the article?

I've been wondering this same question because some themes don't seem to actually display the post title when you open it. This could potentially really hurt SEO.

Thats right there is no need for another H1 tag

Thanks for clarifying. I was confused when reading that you should always put your title as an H1 tag somewhere in your article. I thought this was excluding the already pre-done H1 title tag since it's automatic and so I needed to put it again, but I guess some themes don't show the H1 title tag in the first place.

Right!

So I use all the free images we get with sitecontent platform. But lately, a lot of my posts are really specific and site content won't have an image for what I want.

I n

Try Canva it has free and paid images.
Lily

Take a look here

Thanks Loes :)

It will depend on what sort of photos/pics/images your niche will want to show.

So what is your niche and what type of pics do you need?

It's outdoors - specializing in gardening.

Any particular gardening in mind?

Anything related to gardening :)

I think you should narrow it down to begin with

High authority sites have probably purchased those photos, so dont think that they just uploaded them to site... there are plenty of images on shutterstock, istock etc..

I will take a look, thanks. The cheapest option would be ideal, shutterstock is pretty expensive.

I know you can change your domain name of course. But just wondering if you should. I know SEO doesn't really focus on EDM (exact domain match) anymore, where you would get ran

You can't actually change a domain name, Robbie, you can only buy a new one and go forward from there.

Without knowing exactly what your domain name is I can't advise you as to whether it's a good idea to start again or not.

One thing I can say is that your website title should be the user-friendly version of the domain name. If you want people to return to your website then they need that congruity to help them remember it.

Exact match domain names are not important. If they were then Amazon would sell river cruises and Apple would sell fruit. And "google" would never have become a household word.

Thanks Marion for the reply! I am going to PM you.

Match is always better

You can seek a better domain name,
move your site there,
Redirect the old site to the new
And once old domain expires, not renew

Thanks for the reply Fleeky, but wouldn’t this affect the site authority so basically everything would kind of restart? Would I lose rankings?

If you have an old site, yes
If it is a new site, no

So ponder why you would change
And if it will improve

It’s 10 months old with some authority but I would want to change the domain to match my niche more and be the same as my title, but if it really won’t do much in terms of ranking and SEO, then I’m not going to do it.

By redirecting you,keep,the,old traffic...

10 months is not old
It takes two to three years to build up

Just ponder the long term and if you feel not confortable wIth a change, leave as is

Hmm I’ll think about it, thanks!

Always play safe
