What Answer Do You Give Polite Or Honest

Recently I talked to a member on live chat, he was unhappy because hie site was 1 year always adding content and making no sales, so I told him to let me look, I might get something he missed.

In minutes I saw what was missing, not a single CTA, talked about products but did not link them anywhere,So it was very good and informative post after another but no links to buy,few that mentioned you can find the product in Amazon still did not link.

So I told him what I thought, the guy was surprised, comments, review no one had told him this.so he started linking and know what, the next day he made his first sales after a year.

Now I`m bringing this up because I`m unhappy with my CTAs at the moment and someone said I should ask for site review, people on review are usually polite, they fear losing the 2 points so most are never honest.

Find a diplomatic way if you have to but tell someone if something need changing, the poor guy wasted a full year.Same was with me in the past, I did not have CTA until Eddy pointed it out during site review.

When you`re helping,help honestly.

Now I know some people do not appreciate being told their work needs improvement, but find a way to make them understand.

Great post-Roamy,

Firstly, well done on the help you provided Roamy, getting that first sale under your belt is always the hardest, he'll be happy as, great reviewing!!

From a personal point of view, I'd want people reviewing my site to be as constructively critical as necessary to get the message through, otherwise, why would I ask, and we are wasting each others time!

As Phil mentioned, try and remain courteous, but you must be honest.

Unfortunately thou, sometimes people aren't open to any sort of criticism....

Understanding we are all here to help each other may make it easier..

Keep up the awesome work :-)

Thanks a lot for sharing!

Wish you great success!

I agree. Many people start off writing content which is great but they are intimidated to start adding links. Then they wonder why they have no sales!! I think there is too much trepidation surrounding when to add links. You just need to dive in and do it!

I think the guy did not really understand that he had to add links. Mentioned "you can get this product from Amazon or XY site but his whole site did not have proper CTA or affiliate links.

Wow. Well good for you. You really helped him out!

I saw a site of a friend here that did not have links to Amazon, just pictures copied from Amazon. I had to search and search to find a link and only found an Amazon banner eventually. I contacted her and explained you can't use pictures copied from Amazon since that is against their rules and explained how to add links to Amazon. She was very appreciative of the help.

Well done

You would hope that someone requesting site feedback, as opposed to site comments, would already be braced for criticism and so you would give it honestly.

You still need to be courteous of course.

It was great that you were able to help someone with such a basic issue. Hopefully, he was appreciative.

Easy said, it`s disappointing if you point out something honestly only to get your feedback disapproved. But then, if we do not want honest opinions, we don`t have to ask for them.

Roamy,

Feedback on the SiteFeedback platform can not be disapproved.

Only comments on the SiteComment platform can be disapproved.

How awesome to know that you were able to provide him with great advise that he almost immediately benefited from.

Great job. I hope you can get some great, honest feedback on your website.

Thanks appreciate.

Yes this was on my final level 5 Training so either people not doing the training properly or have forgotten and as you say should be told nicely in the feedbacks. However it is all in the training.

Hmm,I think we maybe sometimes concentrate so much on creating content hoping to put in links once the content is done then yb the time it`s done, you press publish without realizing you did not put in any links.Helps to try the links once you publish.

I absolutely agree. Sometimes things need to change in order to see the results we are looking for. And if no one is willing to point them out, then you never know what they are.

Something like having your links in place is a huge miss in the feedback department.

Thanks for the reminder

Constructive Criticism is very important. Should be taken as advice to improve . You're right a lot of people are polite so they won't come off as rude. But people shouldn't get offended, and be mentally strong. Anyone doing product reviews sites should get an Amazon associates account so you can link the products, and get paid if anyone buys directly from your site link. It took me 6 months to get my first sale. Learn how to on youtube, or look on here for training.

I know that can be very disturbing good for you, pointing out his error thank you for that we all need help.

And I`m sure he liked me pointing it out as the very next day, he made his first sale

I can certainly relate to this. Very nice post.
