This does not seem right

I know Amazon cookies are short, short enough to make a quick sale possible but not when someone wants to buy in thousands worth of products.

I never really check my Clicks so closely, I do think "ok I got the click but did not make a sale so what`s the point"

A few days ago, my analytics had issues so when I got it back up running, I decided to give my clicks a closer look on Amazon,Analytics and Search console.

With 635 clicks and only 56 sales,I seem to be doing something wrong and I can`t figure out what. Are the clicks to the wrong products? if so, Amazon still pays for all products purchased.Do I have to accept that all these clicks were wrong or did surely not make a purchase.

Then I thought maybe the clicks are showing wrong so I decided to purchase something with my workmates CC and it would have gone to her adress so I`ll not have issues with Amazon. To my surprise, the items I chose, every single one did not ship to Switzerland.

This may explain some clicks but not all, I`m sure Amazon ships to most countries so it can`t be that all the wrong countries clicked my affiliate products.

I`m Moving On

I have wanted to use other affiliate programs with better cookie periods and this has just given me the push. But I must also admit it`s scary, I tried Awin and finding the exact product I wanted to promote took ages or I ended up not finding the product at all.Finding products in Amazon is just so easy. I do write a post with a product in mind or when writing a review, I already know what product to review, how to posts I also already know what product I`m going to promote.

Another thing that has kept me dragging is the thought of having to change over .......let`s see maybe 500 products and affiliate links.

I think the cookie period is just not for me, about places Amazon does not ship, well I did not know that they do not ship some items to some countries. The items I wanted were simple skin care products and they could not ship them here, what of other complicated stuff?

I`m just confused

Amazon goes country by country - I have to go to a different place to send stuff to family in Canada from the US.

Still, I did not know that they do not ship to some countries.

If you only sign up with Amazon Associates in the U.S. for example you will only be able to sell products to U.S. customers. If you want to sell products to customers in other countries you have to sign up separately. You can sign up for Amazon Associates in Canada, the UK etc. etc.

I'm signed up to Amazon one link, the only place I could not sign up for is Japan and India because no matter how hard I try, the text keep coming in Japanese that I can't read.

ACTUALLY, I’m in Canada and I can buy some products from Amazon US but not all so their rules have to be a bit funkier than that...

One thing I’ve noticed, living in Canada, is that not everything available on Amazon dot com is available on Amazon dot ca. There seems to be a much better selection on the dot com site. I’m thinking that if a reader from a different country clicks on a link that is derived from the dot com side, it will definitely redirect them to their own county’s site where the product may not be available.

I was just doing broken links on my site today and was pretty appalled at how much of the stuff I have on my site is NOT on the .ca site. That would cause clicks with no coinciding purchases.

OR I could just have monkeys flying out of my butt...

Been there, you just have to keep checking your links from time to time, but it gets hard the more posts you have.
I had thought that if I or anyone order from Amazon.com, the items will just be shipped even if they are from the US but I guess I was wrong.

isn't that a pretty good percentage of sales?

In my opinion, I feel it`s too low but then, I don`t know what`s the right Amazon clicks to sales percentage. And not all items I sell are high $ items,2 days ago I sold just hand cream for $5.99 which makes my commission to cents.
