I created profiles for my blog on the most important social media... The problem is that I hate using social media. There is usually nothing substantial or valuable.... The lack of real human interaction only makes me feel more lonely. I am not convinced. Or maybe I am not "social" enough.

Is my affiliate business doomed if I'm not very "social"?

Definitely not doomed. It may or may not take longer to grow traffic to your site but not doomed by any means. Just keep adding good content to your site and traffic will come. Even without social media's help.
