I'm not sure if this is even a good idea.

I've created a 'directory' of international suppliers - most of whom are affiliates - and posted it to http://winningbeers.com/suppliers/homebrew-supplie....

I really can't see this list ranking, as it is covered in affiliate links, but it's my hope that site visitors will navigate here and choose a program in their country, thereby winning me global business. Hear that, USA? It's not all about you :P

There is another side to the online directory: As I build traffic, this will become a new avenue for monetization. Should the day come when I have hundreds or even thousands of visitors per day, it will be worth organizing these suppliers into a real directory.

Why? Simple.

Because businesses will pay to be listed on a site with high, relevant traffic. The site that I work with for my day-job generates over 2,000 views per day, and businesses pay almost $7,000 per year to be listed in the directory.

Hope it works on my little beer site!

Any thoughts on the suppliers list so far?
