Be careful of Email Aliases
Hi there folks,
Just a quick one to let you know of an issue I have encountered, and why you should be careful:
Email aliases sometimes do not forward all messages to your chosen inbox. This can be dangerous if you have used your alias when signing up to services!
HERE'S MY SITUATION
I received an email from eBay partner program, announcing that I was in breach of their terms and conditions and my partnership agreement has been terminated. They had evidence that they had sent two previous emails giving me a chance to fix the breach.
Because the emails had been sent to my alias, I never received them.
This means that now I have to remove all eBay affiliate links and ads and any promotion of eBay must also be removed. All and any unclaimed commissions have been cancelled as well.
This is a good opportunity to start doing an overhaul of my site, however it's a pain in the neck to lose my partnership with one of the few available affiliates in my niche.
Be careful of aliases, folks! And be careful that you are not in breach of your partnership program terms!
Cheers,
Jesse

I don't use thhem. I was lucky enough to buy 2 Google domains when they were available in 2011 and 2012.
Thanks for the heads up.
I do have the domain, I was just trying to keep my email login centralised. Guess I'll have to add another webmail account to the growing inventory :/
