No, the snippet from the book would just be an independent article, the PDF is a complete book that most likely you have people purchase so google really doesn't care about that. Duplicate content is having the same content on different web pages.
Hey bizladi7, Thanks for the info. I didn't think it would be duplicate content. I'm building the website to promote the eBooks. Any suggestions?, I read your profile and you must be knowledgeable in eBook promotion.
I know one author who uses only business cards, another who uses only FB, and yet another who does the whole shebang - book trailer videos, you tube channel, blog, author website, book website, FB, et al. Local book signings, community events.
Hmmm. Maybe I should do an author promotion website. : )
If you kept the rights to the content, it is yours to use any way that you want. You could turn the book content into blog posts or theme pages. It would not be duplicate content.
