I totally agree. Joining some groups on Google plus has definitely increased my traffic to my site. It's a good idea to not only comment int he groups that you join, but to also drop your website info into the posts that you comment about when it's regarding your related niche. Pay it forward by 1+ to the other members of the same group and reply to their posts so that they pay extra attention to your posts.
