How can I build a new website within WA using a theme that I purchased from a third party? It is the Divi theme from Elegant Themes?

Thank you Marion!

I know that WA is promoting WP themes, but site support might be able to reply to you.

I haven't set up Google Analytics yet (I'm following the WA training steps and I think that is next), but I'm pretty sure there has been little or no traffic to my site yet.

Hi - well, that could be another reason. AdSense doesn't usually approve you until you have at least 20 posts and are getting daily traffic. However, if that's the case, they usually disapprove you when you first apply.

Well it looks like it looks like it got approved. See attachment. Then I set it up per the instructions. Could they have approved it but there is still not enough traffic to trigger the ads?

Possibly, but if that's the case, then they have changed how they operate. The first time I applied, I didn't have enough traffic, so I got an outright rejection. The second time I got the approval as above. To be honest, if you are not getting hundreds of visitors every day, you won't make any money from it anyway.

Yes I know but I am going through the motions of setup step by step through WA with this site to understand the process like as a trial. Then I will build some more robust sites. I'll just skip AdSense for now and tackle it when I have a better site up. I'm just trying to figure things out right now. Thanks gor the help! Ric

Hi - this typically applies when they are investigating the source of the traffic to your website. This can happen for several reasons, for example, if you have clicked your own ads or ask friends or family to click on ads or you are paying for traffic.

Thanks Diane. I've never had an ad show up so have never been able to click on anything though.

That does seem odd. Are you using Google Analytics? Can you see if you are getting any traffic to your website? I wonder if you have suddenly had a huge upsurge in traffic which has raised a red flag with AdSense.

And I put the AdSense code on my site using the "Insert Headers and Footers" WP plugin.

Did you actually get approved in the first place? You would have received an email which said: "Your site is now ready to serve AdSense ads". That first piece of code that you add simply allows Google to inspect your site to see if it is suitable.

Hey winners, I am just about to join my first affiliate network and got to thinking, since I am going to have multiple websites set up soon, should I join the network for each

I would keep them separate and totally focused to the content of each website. No point in putting up a link to Rolex watches on a site on how to pay off your credit cards

Thanks. I didn't know if there was such a thing as an account with say Clickbank or whatever service, and have different links for different sites. But I think I'll just set up a separate affiliate account for every site.

Great question, Ric--hope you get it sorted out! I learned a few things to ask if I face a similar situation!

Thanks!

👍👍

There are options but this one is good!

Thanks!

Welcome

Ric
I think you answered your question.
If you love to keep it separate than do so.

Cheers Sylvia

Thank you Sylvia that's what I thought too but wasn't sure if it would get too complicated. It would be better for tracking though I guess.

It depends on the niche and the products you are promoting. The affiliate network may also have terms. I believe most only allow one account with each affiliate network if it is the same person unless you want to use registered company account.

Thanks Stanley. I didn't think about if they would allow multiple accounts under one name. I'll check it out thanks!

Hello everyone and thanks in advance for any help. I am a newb here and have a basic question. I have a current WP website hosted on another web host, and built in a third part

I think so.

Yes it will ... I have used it!

Dave.

Thanks Dave! Hopefully its easy to transfer over!

If it works on WordPress, it will work. Any page builder, including Divi will work.

Great! Thanks for the help.

CyndiMcK gave you an excellent answer. I agree with here. I've used Divi before on the WA platform and it does work.

Thanks for the help Lakisha.

Yes it will work fine! When I joined here 2 months ago, I moved a site that was using the Elementor site builder on a WP site. Elementor is a competitor of Divi. I am also now building a site I started on WA hosting using Thrive Architect, yet another site builder competitor of Divi.

To get the big picture: Hosting comes first, then WP is installed, then an optional site builder so you can easily visually edit your site and posts.

Just message support and they will guide you through moving your site over.

I did some clean-up on the site. I had some other directories with non-WP stuff, so I downloaded & backuped those myself and made lists/screenshots in the Dashboard of a few things for my own peace of mind. When they told me they'd moved it, it looked fine!

After you are sure everything is OK, THEN your domain name DNS is changed at your domain provider to the DNS numbers support gives you.

Thank you so much Cyndi for this. I really appreciate the help. I'll let you know how mine turns out
