Why no one signs up to WA Through an About Me Page

I've been told in some disturbing words that others cannot access our blogs here at WA.

It appears if we are marketing to social networks and someone wants to find out a little more of what we do here and wants to read our blogs, maybe access our work so to speak... They are required to sign up.

At least the last person who was interested in WA once, and now not, because of this has left her message here.

Rick,

The problem I have with WA is all I can see of you or anyone is an "about type page" and if I want to read your blogs I have to sign up now as a customer - no, I won't do that and that pisses me off so I will leave your Wealthy Affiliate site and go read the hundreds of other blogs that allow me access without making me fill in a form first and I will never give you or your site another thought.

That is from a customer point of view on the wealthy affiliate sites Rick.

I hope I have explained myself correctly but more than likely I have not lol

Well, it appears not everyone is happy the way WA is set up! LOL

Rick

Wait, so that means that if someone is trying to read a post on my website they have to fill a WA form first?

Actually they are taken to the post from the link, but that is all they will be able to see. The thing is, once they click on your WA article a cookie is stored. So if they click on your article you get the first chance if they sign up later. They will be signing up under you as a member you and make a commission.
At least that is the way I've been told it works. I've had members sign up and find out they are credited to Kyle or someone else, as they had clicked on one of their sites or ads first, before ever coming to my website and signing up. So the more you can get to click on your links, the more first timers will see WA. Once they do join, it could be your commission they pay! :)

Hmm oke understood

I'd never even thought about this before... kinda interesting!!!

I have a friend who came to read my post and was surprised at the sign up but said no big deal it is free! So if she is going to be that testy, I have a feeling she would not be interesting in staying around anyway!

Well, I guess sometimes we should let them read our "about me " page to further understand better, but every organization there are always rules and regulation so I guess we can't have everything our way.

So, I can't really give an answer is it a really good thing or it is a bad thing.

I guess if she would sign for free member account, she can read blogs. It takes few minutes, not a big deal. Maybe it needs more explanation about this process.

I don't expect anyone would want someone with that attitude on their team anyway. At a rough guess I would say her chances of success in internet marketing are pretty slim :)

This is very interesting Rick. It seems ridiculous that people have to sign up to read WA members blogs, and it's something I'd not been aware of until now. It would appear to deter people, rather than encourage them. Thanks for posting this.

So let her read the hundreds of other blogs that a full of misinformation. You can't push a rope so you have to just say "Next!"

Great phrase "you can't push a rope" I hope you don't mind if I use that down the track. :-) ~Marion
