Lonely March To Internet Success.

Mastering the Art of Marketing. A Learned Skill. A time intensive and sometimes costly discipline to say the least. Not for the faint of heart. Not for the cry-baby.

Mildly put, not all marketers are created equal. Naturally skilled sales abilities help move the so called newbie marketer onward at a much faster trot, than those of us who are not the selling types. Me for instance.

Sure everyone says marketing is not selling. Yet top gurus always talk about their climb, and how they did cold calling and door to door sales, long before getting involved with internet marketing. They repeat, "You don't need to be a salesman." Really?

Communication I've found to be a very 'big key' within internet marketing success. And is not proper communication the very fundamental of good sales? We must be able to help others understand the opportunities within the internet, right? So getting the point across is epic. As we see that many of the so called online programs are selectively designed to first promote themselves and their owners. And so the pitch.

Nothing required. No Sales. No Skills. Anyone Can Do This. LOL

Regardless, first of all you do need to be able to get the point across. You must learn to communicate well; in text, articles, blogs, messages, groups, your network, etc...To be able to target visitors and align their desires under our own promotional skill sets. An advanced communications skill is required, no doubt.

Being able to voice things of interest and show enthusiasm is a must, it is BIG. But even with a highly honed skill of getting your message across--We also need to believe in ourselves, and what we are all about. And second, and not surely least, believe in the program or product we promote on the internet. Our business.

A person who does not believe in their online product or business is already a failed internet marketer. A person who does not believe in himself, will quite frankly be tossed out to sea, just as rapidly.

After writing over 300 articles, creating several websites, promoting a dozen different programs and hundreds of products, and moving from one business model to the next.. I've had to look deep within and call upon and confront my inner issues. Such that are never discussed online.

To date, I've worked feverishly full-time online for two and one half years, searching out and finding inner problems I've had to battle. I and others have encountered, fought, and won these battles. But they have taken much time. To even understand that we have issues within, takes a huge discipline and effort that we first must become aware.

The biggest battle is within. People seldom search within. Everyone thinks the problems come from the outside world. Not true. For example. Patience? How we must struggle with this one thing. Determination? Have any of this? Tenacity, another great attribute if you can muster it. And the list goes on. Self-doubt. Worry. Frustration.

The problems we face along the road to self-employment and building an internet business from home...Are battled within. Self doubt, skepticism, worry, anxiety and many we must learn to face head on. We face these daily. Once we become aware, we fight and over come each and every demon thought. We confront the mirror reflection looking back at us, minute by minute. Or else.

It means we must develop our inner strengths along the way. Develop control, discipline, a habitual work ethic, tenacity, faith, belief in ourselves, and do it consistently. Without an underlying faith that we will one day succeed...A blind faith that we will conquer-- we will not doubt be tossed back and forth upon the rough internet sea.

We must even choose to abandon others in part. To make time for the quest. Not totally abandon all others, but we must have our time away from them, life, family and outside problems. We cannot involve ourselves with life all at once. There is not enough time. Nor is there enough focus to be everything for everyone and still journey such a path as Internet marketing. Creating our online business.

So we must navigate alone for the most part, charting our own course. Privately. We must always be so very determined that we leave no doubt. Perhaps a little doubt today, but tomorrow we start clean again. Because if we abandon self-determination and do not hold down doubt, we are left to drift in that chaotic internet sea with 12 foot waves bashing our bows.

Each day our attitude must be such that we knowingly are able to quick-start the quest with harsh determined intent, once more. Each morning we must regroup and put on our battered internet armor. We must stick to the fight and stay in charge. We march onward in control of our destiny, or not. Falling and getting back up, failing and achieving in some small way, today, no matter how many times we are sent to our knees.

Each day we must reclaim our internet time our determined path, our goals we've set in stone tablets and begin once more the daily work at honing our internal internet skills. We must continually determine our focus minute by minute--our discipline in order to reach these distant goals. To feel alive yet another day, we march.
