Word of the Day - WAttitude
My Definition: choosing to help and support (what's your definition?)
We all know that WA is a supportive online business community made up of people who likely will never meet...BUT...who like nothing better than to see one another succeed, in both our personal and business lives. The help and support we give each other is one of the main reasons many of us stay; working at home in isolation can be difficult. And so we come here to refresh, recharge and connect.
My question, and hence the word, is: are we living this attitude in our day to day lives? The soft skills I'm learning here and doing daily are to:
- listen longer
- smile more often
- and give an encouraging word
If we can help and support others here just imagine if WA's attitude became society's!

It helps that my teenage daughter tells me to calm Dow as well ;). But, yeah, those are definitely things we can do each day.
Thanks for this post Rick. The culture here is second to none and I have never seen it online or off as concentrated or operational as it is here. Just glad I clicked the right link. :)

I think many of us are skeptical when we land here for the first time. It takes a bit of time to realize that the people are real and the owners are genuine in their desire to help us succeed.
The support and resources are amazing. And you're right, WA has it's own culture. I haven't seen it anywhere else on the web.
What would the world be like if we all pitched in like that instead of thinking about the biggest house and fanciest cars.
I agree, giving and not desiring...that is the best way and the legacy I want to leave for my teens.
Helping gives you satisfaction and most of the time you're learning something new. So a win-win action.
Win-win...exactly. Why don't we do this more often. Something I shall work on. Thanks for your insight.
There's so much we can take from here and live "out there" that would benefit our jobs and communities.
It's a reminder for me, and hopefully others, to have a positive and helpful attitude even outside of WA.

It becomes a better and better feeling to support and realize that in return you are being supported, without even asking!
Yeah, that whole give and take without the "what's in it for me" attitude.
