Stop Learning & Start Doing
As we all know, there is so much to learn here at Wealthy Affiliate that it can get overwhelming...if not outright overpowering. But it's better to have access to the training...free is cool...than to wander aimlessly online falling easily to the next troll that lurks under the "get-rich-quick" bridge.
But sometimes, even at Wealthy Affiliate, you need to stop learning and just get busy doing!
I've gone through the Level 1 Getting Started Training, the Level 2 Training and half of the Level 3 Training for Premium members, and I've been keeping up with the Boot Camp since it started. Sounds like I should know a few things...even I thought so.
But now...I've had to pause...because I realized that I had not completely grasped something and I needed to work on that. The recent changes to Google really brought this to light and, with Kyle's article on this regarding the impact on our business and keyword research, I needed to stop and get a better understanding of keywords and writing for my audience, not the search engines.
So I'm a few lessons behind on Boot Camp and may get even further behind. But they can wait because I really need to spend time on understanding keywords better. Jaaxy is a huge help with this and I'm still learning about all the things that it can do for me.
So I've stopped...and guess what?
- My posts are ranking higher!
- I'm getting more visitors!
- I'm starting to see some WA Referrals!
Stick with it folks...this stuff really works!
Thanks for reading.

Putting into practice what you have already learn't is key to your success.
Okay, that's an obvious statement but many of us myself included are knowledge junkies, anything new that comes out we seem to have a burning desire to READ.
And........
If you spend all your time reading then you not doing anything practical about it.
It's really good to read, Rick...lol
That you have decided to leave the training alone for a while and concentrate on the "bread and butter" of this industry.
Who you are writitng content for?

Rick, ya' nailed it. It's like you exposed me to the world... great info... thank ya', partner.
It's been great reviewing things with you. That was very helpful to me as well. Thank you right back.
You hit the nail on the head for me, Rick. I have spent entire weeks just reading tutorials and such on WA and taking notes. I may know more, but I've got nothing to show for it. It's summer and school is out. Time to build!
Yeah, I've been doing better rank wise since I refocused on my keywords. Will stick with the training and get busy with it as soon as I can.
thank you, Rick ! I am a firm believer in doing it asap ... and at the moment I have nothing to show for it ! argh !!! and I intend to do something about it NOW ! :-)
Sounds good. Knowing what our priorities are and mapping out a plan really helps. I trust your training is going well and you can use that to springboard your website.
Great job on your referrals I hope they are sales also..I love your stuff but it does make me work harder UGGG
have a great day ;O)

Outstanding Rick! I think I've already migrated from studying all the time to trying things to make them work. I sure use the search bar all the time though.
I use the search bar, too. It's such a great tool and lets you stay focused on what you're studying...almost like keyword research :)
