I just installed my website, and here is what it says under themes:

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template

Maybe can be resolve if you change the theme.

That's what I ended up doing, I found one I liked better and just installed the new one :-)

Aw cool and tell I think works?! :)

It was one of the Premium themes when I used the "Build My Website" area of WA. I owned my domain name, then selected the theme and installed. I'm just not sure how to go back and install a new theme - do I just go select a new one like I did before?

Ooooh yeah, absolutely. Just go to Themes in your Dashboard. If you don't already have one you want installed, then just click Add New at the top, find the one you want, install it, and then you can live preview and activate it :)

I do think as someone else mentioned that it sounds like maybe you got a child theme. I'd look for the theme they tell you to add first. Install that, add it, and then see if the theme you wanted to use is working.

Yep that was the problem! I actually found another theme I liked better though, haha :-) So I'm all good now!

Excellent!

Did you purchase this theme or is it one you added straight from WordPress?

It's one from the WA Premium section when I built my site.

Have you tried installing a different new theme, then delete the old theme. Then try installing the theme again.

Gonna try just installing a new theme from here, then see if that solves the issue. Thank you!

Maybe you can install a whole new theme if you are still not too sure about what would be best for you. Otherwise, it seems that you have installed and activated the child theme only. The parent must come first.

Some themes require straight away the installation of their parent and child components. Others do not and it is then up to you to create a child theme if you wish and/or need to. Basically a child theme allows you to tweak the code of you website and keep the changes in case a new version of the theme (as parent) is published.

Wait for some more answers, but it seems to me that you do not need a child theme unless you definitely want to play with the css code in the Editor. I hope this help a little bit already.

Hi Phil, it was one of the WA Premium themes and it says it actually is the child theme, so I don't know how to find the parent theme. I am going to try and just install a different theme and see if that works. Thanks for your help!

Keyword, Niche and Market Research

I'm going through the first training series and trying to select a niche. I'm the mom of a very stubborn 5 year old daughter, and my niche idea is for parents trying to find be

I personally would stick to using my personal experience to target my niche (market). My affiliate products would be something related to my niche - e.g. how to handle a teen-ager, how to motivate your child to study/ do her homework, etc, or something related to child discipline. I have another website that focusses on just my favorite books and my daughter's reading list, and my affiliate products are bookstore and others related to reading. At the end of the day, it's what you feel is better for you. Good luck.

Technicals aside, I think your personal experiences is what will help set you apart from the usual "experts" and their textbook methods. Put together enough posts of those experiences and you could eventually make your own book!

It seems to me you are the perfect person for this niche. You can choose anything you want anyway. 150 searches may not seem much, but it depends on how many of those KW you found. 10 of those KW could mean 10 x 150 searches = 1500 visitors a month!, 100 KW x 150 searches = 15.000 searches:) Good luck!!
