Watch out there's a scam about!

Hi Folks

I wanted to let you know about a very clever scam that is going around at the moment.

It’s directed against people in the UK, but as it’s online it can catch anybody unawares. I became aware of it when I logged into my Facebook account and saw an advert which directed me to a website entitled whatishot.today/uk-finance

This ‘opportunity’ which claims to earn its’ participants thousands of pounds in profits daily comes in the form of ‘Auto Trading’ aka ‘Binary Trading’.

Now, in this case 'Auto Trading' doesn't mean buying dodgy used cars on the cheap
and selling them for profit like a certain loveable rogue in a camel hair coat and Trilby hat. Auto Trading is trading by making use of algorithms for creating trade orders based on variables such as price, volume, etc.

It sparked in me more than a casual interest and I took a serious look at it because it
was highly plausible. Here's why:

Because the marketing uses images of some famous and highly respected people in
the UK, along with quotes which it attributes to them, to give it credibility.

One of these is Martin Lewis, the well known and highly respected Consumer affairs champion known as the ‘Money Saving Expert’, since the advice he gives is credited with having saved the British buying public no less than £10 Billion over the past 14 years.

I'm one of those very grateful Consumers.

The article falsely states that Martin has just invested Half a Million Pounds in to this revolutionary new business giving ordinary people the opportunity to earn thousands
of pounds daily.

Another ‘endorsement’ comes from Michael Parkinson, the instantly recognizable and immensely likeable TV Chat Show host from the 70’s and 80’s who still gets a lot of air time now in his twilight years. Michael purportedly gives his opinion that this appears to
be the emergence of a new generation of millionaires thanks to Martin's Auto Trading system.

Martin was quick to disassociate himself from this 'opportunity' when he found out his
good name and reputation were being falsely attributed to it: He tweeted:

Warning:This is totally fake advert and a CON abusing my name. I've never binary traded. I never would. Don't touch it. PLS SHARE.

And, out of respect to Martin, here I am sharing it with you.

Have a great WA day, folks – onwards and upwards :-)

Thanks, Rich.
They have probably made a quick sting before Martin got wind his name was being used.
On another note as well, I discovered Parko is still alive. I am not sure why but I thought he passed on several years ago.
Hmmm not sure what I was thinking?

Thanks for the heads up, Rich.
