I just thought I'd post this resource http://www.freenetlaw.com/ for everything legal: T&C's, Privacy Policy, Disclaimers, etc. Rich. x

Thank you Rich,You great and always have a wealth of information, glad you are on our team.

Thanks Rich, I added this link to my "legal business requirements" blog too. Thanks!

Great! Thank you Rich.

Great addition Rich, many folks have been requesting these lately so I think this discussion is good one to get rolling.

Just wanted to mention to folks as well that you should not spend too much time on disclaimers. Unless you are doing something more sophisticated or in a "gray area" industry, you are likely more than fan (in fact a bit overkill) with a standardized disclaimer that you make your own.

Thank you so much Rich!

Thanks Rich

Thanks Rich, got one done in the US?

Nice find, then seen that site before, thanks Rich

Thanks, this is very useful!

Honestly is a good place to know about everything legal. Great Post :) Jorge x

If you know me, you're already aware of my complete lack of tact and diplomacy!

Earlier today, on the Eurotrash side of the pond, there was a discussion about Premiu

Good post. I rearranged my finances so I could afford going Premium, and Jaaxy :) I've thrown money at the get rich schemes...absolutely no return on investment there! How many others have found the money to do that? Premium and boot camp are now my investment in myself. I'm in school folks and my degree this time around is my online business! Here is how I look at it: it's only 47 dollars?...what a deal.

Thanks Rick, it's great to hear that having lost money elsewhere you could still appreciate and discriminate that WAU was a legitimate opportunity. I have doubts that would be true for most who went through what you did. Kudos! Rich.

We need to keep things in perspective, don't we? Nice to see that my money is finally making me money instead of just going down the toilet! I have produced more quality content since I have been with WA, joined in October 2012, than I have in 10 years of "trying" to market online. I have had more success in that time than in 10 years of "trying" to market online. So Yes, premium has value. I have made my yearly fees back already!

Congrats. Nana. Kudos! I honestly don't believe anyone can work at this for a year and not make $359. In most cases, a lot more. Rich. x

I made enough this week to cover a year here, but it took hard work and commitment. It really boils down to how badly do you want to do this. I remember the days of paying for AOL every month and comparing that to this, WA is by far a better deal. We also get offered great discounted deals now and then, and the $199.00 a year deal was awesome. How much are you and your future worth is the real question to ask yourself, and is this something you really love doing.:)

Hey Shawn,

Thanks for posting your thoughts. I'm definitely seeing a case for making it an "investment in yourself" and emphasising "how much do you want to do this?".

Rich.

Well, If you look at other "products" its usually a one time fee and you get on with it, this is a monthly charge and you get a lot more I suppose.

I have got to the point of can i afford it, i have no job, ill health, dont spend money on any of the luxuries you have mentioned because I just can't afford it. But I took a chance on this, I may find that I have to cancel because I just can't afford it. I think my rent comes first!

I havent made anything yet and have been at it for a month or so, I know it will take hard work and effort so am keeping on with it...

Hi Catherine,

I do sympathise with people who are suffering genuine financial problems or are in difficult circumstances. I am really talking about those who *choose* not to afford.

I've found it's sometimes the case that people have at least $400 of stuff they no longer want just lying about that they could flog on eBay to finance a year here. They just can't be bothered.

Rich. x

Rich, ok fair dos, i understand your point in that case. laziness doesnt get you anywhere...

I sincerely hope your own situation turns around as quickly as possible. Rich. x

Hi Rich
I'm not very good on the persuasive reasons - but I compare it to other things I do.

WA is $20 per month cheaper than my MA - and has far more benefits eg materials, interaction etc - and there is a return for that investment (far more so than the degree). In fact it's good value for money comparing to many other learning opportunities./

Give up one evening out a month and WA membership is paid for (and it doesn't give me the same sort of headache!)

WA membership is far less than one month's clothes, beauty treatments or pair of shoes - girly I know but there you are.

It's all about choices and there are lots of ways that the money for the WA membership can be found before people bring the money back in. It may be more difficult for some than others but I believe most people can find a way if they want to.

Beverley

Thanks Diva B. I know that my real-world socialising costs way, way more than my virtual does. Oh, and "girly" is fine, it's a major gripe with me as my Better-Half uses face cream that costs more for a tiny pot than a brand new television. Rich. x

ASIDE: Yes guys, that's what they spend OUR money on. Tip: If you promise not to stick your grubby mitts in the $500 face cream after you've shaved, they'll agree not to use YOUR razor between waxes. :)

Might be a bit of a cliche, but if you can't afford premium, then you can't afford NOT to go premium

I'm liking that take Dom, I was also thinking along the lines of "How much have you earned from spending money?" Rich. x

Oh, boy, Dom! You got that right!

It all depends on how badly YOU want it!

If you want to make money, serious money then it's down to hard work and sheer determination.

I know from my own personal exploits that it hasn't been easy.
What with coping with ill health, family members dying and everything else that can be thrown at you.

You have to take stock sometimes and think, can I really do this?

But with having a Positive Mental Attitude you can achieve anything you want to!

Neil

Hey Neil,

I think *motivation* is key here. I won't be promoting WAU as an "easy" option. It certainly wasn't for me. However, it is a "realistic" one!

Rich.

Call me crazy but it seems to me that you're asking the wrong question if you're asking "Can I afford WA?" What you should be asking yourself is "Can I afford not to have WA?"

It seems to me like people can usually afford what they want to afford, as you said Starbucks, Cable TV (WATCH MOVIES ON YOUTUBE) Booze, Cigarettes, Potato chips and the list goes on and on.

If you're willing to sacrifice in order to get ahead there are many ways you can come up with the money.

Now I know there are people who don't do these things and to those people I would suggest a part time job to help you pay for it.

Hey Ty. I'm liking "can you afford not to?". Thanks. Rich.

Oh you so hooked me with that title ... lol and yes your complete lack of tact and diplomacy ever has me at once stunned, amazed and lmao!

Yes I'd agree. Bone idle or doing it wrong (which I suppose includes just not doing it) covers all bases.

I'd possibly substitute *reasons* for *excuses* ... lol ... I'm quite diplomatic and not half as hilarious as you :)

I'm completely with you on mindset, cable TV, Starbucks and the like. My own pet fascination with mindset is going to the hospital and seeing shivering patients at the door in dressing gowns with allegedly live-saving drugs being drip pumped into one arm while the other arm is pumping life-draining fags directly into the lungs. Go figure.

I'm not on bootcamp so i may be ineligible to comment but here's what I did.

I made a decision based on how valuable WA is to me.

I put it before Costa coffees, lunch from the naffy, take-aways, Sky, new clothes, movie trips, weekends away and general *what I want less than WA*.

I paid monthly but still kept extra on one-side until I had enough to get an annual subscription. It took time because earning's a bit of a challenge, especially with my mum's health and the amount of care she needs as well as making sure I stay healthy.

There are many people in genuine tough places and I think the free option is fantastic for those people. It's a lifeline and it's about more than just the money, it's about the support of dreams you get in WA.

But it's not a substitute for premium if your mind's set on Internet Income success. But that exactly it isn't it?

Where's your Mind Set?

If it's those extras that you prefer to exchange your wonga for, be up front and honest about it. It's not wrong, it's a choice.

But we all need to be clear about what is is we ARE choosing. Because choosing is exactly what we're doing, excusing's just a bit of a poor cover up.

Happy Sunday :)

Hey Rich, I like Boot Camp. It keeps me focused on daily tasks., a structured balance if you will.

I am on a set income and WA is part of the monthly budget. I gave up cigarettes back in September so I am using the extra money I save from not smoking to apply here at WA and still have a bit left over for anything I might need as 'extra' .

So to me, I have turned a bad debt into a good debt and in the process have connected to some very smart people I never would have met if not going premium.
Bill

Hey Bill,

That's a brilliant one! I find a lot of people are stunned at the prices of cigarettes in the UK, c. $10 a pack. If you smoke 20-a-day that's close to $4,000 a year. Join WAU and get a better habit!!

Rich.

Tips and tools to get you started. It would be fantastic if you can add any that you've found especially helpful. Thanks. Rich.

WUNDERLIST: If you are a compulsive list maker and want to quit losing those vital "stickies" on everything WAU, then Wunderlist http://bit.ly/11RBKmg is a great free To-Do / GTD note app that syncs across a wide variety of computers, tablets and mobiles and will hopefully save you coming "unstuck"! Rich.

Ah, I was wondering how you actually get work done!

Thanks for the reminder about this. I downloaded the app to my iphone ages ago but hadn't used it. Now I shall start using it.

As someone who works from three different computers in three different locations, it is important that I can get to all my files. Dropbox is a great tool to have and I highly recommend it if your someone on the go

Love Dropbox for the movement of larger files and folders. Use it daily. It is a great way to get info, pictures and collaborate with clients as well as other sharing capabilities.

I consider hootsuite is a great tool to manage single or Multiples social Networks. Also hootsuite has is for free or for $9.99/month

http://hootsuite.com

Hootsuite is definitely a great tool for your social management and if you want to add an automated component to it. It serves as a great social dashboard.

Tweetdeck.com is also good.

I agree Jorge. I use hootsuite - but it's only worth paying if you want to preschedule multiple tweets. Otherwise you might as well use the free account - in which you can have 5 twitter accounts. Like Kyle I also like Tweetdeck and use both

Dropbox is a tool I use and would recommend (https://www.dropbox.com) Great for keeping a backup of your files plus you can easily collaborate with others by sharing folders. Love the web interface too - so easy to use. Plus there's the smartphone app so you can use Dropbox on-the-go. My Wordpress sites are automatically backed up at 3am every morning while I sleep. Best of all, you can sign up for a free account which comes with 2GB of storage.

I'm a massive fan too, Adrian, there's nothing worse than losing all your hard work. Craig (@welshy) has some training on how to back up to Dropbox here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-backup-entire-wordpress-blog-have-it-auto-sent-to-a-free-dropbox-account

after the recent issues I think Craig's training will hit a new level

I too use this daily as a backup. After some bad luck recently I would not be without it.

Mine is related to video - being that videos are increasing in popularity. If you want to make instructional videos then mine would be Screencast-o-matic.. Yes it's a one off cost but $15.00 per year is so cheap and it is really good. You can produce very professional videos easily. http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/

I used the free version to make a video and was very impressed!

My biggest tip. Give yourself time to succeed. Most people use the 30 day "magic number" but I have personally never seen someone create success in 30 days.

Yes, you can make a sale in 30 days, but 30 days is just about enough time to get your online business up and running.

There is nothing about success that is an "event". It is cumulative in nature and I know if everyone personally gave themselves a year to accomplish great things instead of 30 days, much more success would happen.

I agree with you Kyle. Too easy to get caught up in unrealistic time frames. I would add to what you've said - Don't waste time on comparisons

You mean comparing your success to someone else's? If so, I 100% I agree. It is good to strive for other people's success and use that as motivation, but don't expect to become the next Sir Branson within your first year online or you may be disappointed.

People get caught up in comparing their success to "claims" going on out there. Earn $1,000/day in the next 10 days. Stuff like this is an absolute lie and scams like this can influence the way people interpret their own success.

If one is moving forward in a positive direction, that is constant success!

Jim Rohn - mentor of Tony Robbins, always talks about organizing things into 90 day plans, do the same thing for 90 days, then adjust and do another 90 days, 30 days is too short!

One of the biggest draws for me when I joined was the honesty displayed by both you and Carson on the fact that this is investing in yourself, and it takes time.

Yes Kyle.

I should have been clearer. I see a lot of people wasting time with comparisons - not just from what they hear outside WA but inside too. Some people make money quite quickly and for others it's much slower and it's not always easy to see why. Okay sometimes it may be about the amount of work - but the particular niche, the time of year etc can all have an impact. So although it's good to see what other people are doing and see what you can learn it's important to accept that success comes at different points.

Hear, Hear! Good adivise.

I am constantly impressed by all your good advice. I think your posts would be worth the price of admission alone, even if there weren't all the other good things here. I am also impressed by the fact that you are always on tap...It's like we are never really alone! Just saying this as a newcomer...

You definitely are not alone here at WA, you have an entire community behind you if you ever need a hand with anything. :) Glad I can help you out within some of the my content here and if you ever need me to clarify anything, just let me know.

A good place to learn software and creative programs such as Photo Shop and such is http://www.lynda.com/

My favorite place to go for all sorts of help is http://w3schools.com

oh nice, seems like it is website building related mostly?

It covers all sorts of subjects, it does it in an easy to understand way. It's helped me quite a bit. But it does take a bit of patience to find what you want in the site. The "try it yourself" editor is really cool and fun to play around with code.

http://easyhyperlinks.com - When writing squidoo lenses or at other places where you can use html code but can't work out how to create a link, this saves me so much time

Good Tip - I have been writing html links so long, it comes natural to just type it out, but I am asked all the time how to do this...

It also saves cookies and stuff so if it is a link that you use often, such as a hop link or link to a pillar article, you can just click in the box and chances are it will pop up in the list of previous ones

DROPLR. It can often be incredibly difficult to "explain" a challenge or for others to "understand" how best to help. I thoroughly recommend installing the free Droplr app (http://www.droplr.com) which allows you to screenshot a problem and share the result as a url, like so: http://d.pr/i/i6DI Rich.

Thanks @Rich - was wondering how you did those so fast.

I'm a Droplr fan too....so convenient as a screen grabbing tool, especially when you need to share something in real time.

Yeah, I am a droplr user as well. It is great!

Droplr is a lifesaver. Especially for beginners like me who struggle with the terminology and have a hard time explaining what's going on. One drop can save you lots of time and frustration. A picture is worth a thousand words....

I love droplr is a great Tool

I would be lost without this tool!
