As @fluffyduck says, you can do that on your post or pages in WordPress. Just keep status as “DRAFT” if you are editing and don’t want it to be seen on live site. Change that to “PUBLISH” when you want it live. Just make sure you click on “UPDATE” everytime you make changes or you won’t be saving the changes.
Yes you can edit and refine your posts at any time once they are in WordPress.
Simply click on 'Posts' in your WordPress Dashboard menu on the left which will bring up all you published and draft posts. Select the post you wish to edit, make the changes in the post and then click 'Update' button on the right-hand side of the Dashboard. This will automatically update the post on your website.
I would like however to make them private right away so that they don't show up on my website until they're done.

Is it possible to finish editing in wordpress?

Just save as draft and it won't be seen.
Also, another option is to finish your post in Word then when you are ready, copy and paste it to your site, just use the text field when copying your post.
By having it is Word you also have a backup copy elsewhere should there be a need.
Enjoy and wishing you well.

I had problems setting up my gravatar email as well. I can't remember how I solved it.
Just be patient and work thru it. It will come together.

Hello,
Your problem is with Gravatar, not WA.
You need to establish your email with Gravatar (the email you choose), And then come back to WA to Comment.
This is my suggestion.
God Bless and Good Luck!

That's what I was trying to do. Gravatar tells me that the email was already registered.
Then find out who registered, or when you registered, that email, I suggest.
God Bless and Good Luck!

Hi - when transferring a domain into WA from another domain registrar, you are required to add 1-year of registration to your domain.
For instance, a .com is $13.99/year, so you would be charged $13.99 and WA would add on another year to your existing registration. Your domain would then be registered for an extra year! You essentially are required to pre-pay for one-year of registration when transferring it in.
Thanks for explaining that Diane ... was not aware of the extension in the date on transferring a domain!
