Setting an agenda

For my first 3 months, I was admittedly quite erratic in my approach to the Wealthy Affiliate way of life. I am a slow learner and have limited tech skills, which may be an overstatement. Are they limited or non - existent?

But I don't apologize for this situation.Tell me something once and I will have heard you. Twice - and I will remember for a while. Three times - and it is locked forever. I still recall memorizations from junior high school, about 63 years ago. All the U.S. state capitals and all the presidents in order.

Tech skills? No, the average 6 year old has greater sophistication. But I have found that it is fun to learn. Wealthy Affiliate does not "talk down" to me, for which I am grateful. I now have a creditable website with blog articles that are being read and also indexed by Google.

My site has 2 income sources in my upper navigation menu and I now include relevant affiliate links in all of my articles. I now share my articles first with Linked In and from Linked In to Facebook and Twitter. (Still working on Pinterest).

I was happy and quite flattered that this happened a couple of days ago: I was ASKED to represent a new company as an affiliate. This company pays a good commission % and I have used their products in my workouts for a couple of years. The owner saw one of my posts and contacted me. (It really makes good sense for both of us).

So....back to the topic shown in my headline, my agenda.

The first thing I do every morning is my workout at home (which is precisely my niche), MYWORKOUTATHOME.COM. This is both a resistance and a cardio program, varying every day. This takes a bit over an hour. I want to do what I write about, though I would work out even if I had a different niche. It's in my blood.

Then I eat breakfast and come to my computer room. I have decided to commit to the following agenda:

  • Train the first day. Progress along the WA path more consistently, asking questions when I am stuck. But training only.
  • Write the second day. This requires Jaxxy and topical research, drafts and editing. Placing affiliate links and then sharing with social media.

Blogging within WA (like this) is not what I mean by writing. This would go under training. Writing within my website may take 4-6 hours...and I may not finish on that day, which means carryover to the next day.

Alternating day to day like this should improve my consistency and keep me organized better. I am hoping that it will also elevate my output.

I also pay close attention to Henneke Duistermaat, my writing guru in Liverpool. She sends me articles about blog writing and related topics at no charge. I have also purchased a couple of her books. She is a gem! I would recommed her to any and all.

Thanks for reading...Richard

You have a good plan in action and it sounds like it is working for you. I, too will alternate days between research and writing. I think it keeps everything moving forward nicely.

All posts here are good for someone Richard. I know what you mean but the training in writing here is helping you become a better writer.
