Hey Rebecca. I wrote an article about a week ago on some other training I do which is not mentioned in WA.

You can take the niche you are considering and go ---> Google Trends. There is a search bar there which you will search your niche. There will be a graph on the niche you desire. Check the 12 month and 5 year graph. It it's steady or increasing over these 2 periods it is a great niche. Then go to Facebook and search the niche. Go to Pages, then make sure there are plenty of groups there with at least 5K in those groups. If it is, it is a great niche.

I hope this helps.

Danny

Just wanting to do it cause it is a passion is nice, but if you are looking for a way to generate an income you can live on is different. I have a website that is a passion but it doesn't generate a lot of traffic due to the market is so saturated. I didn't have this training before I started my website. Now I am starting a new website with my training plus it is a passion I have had most of my life.

Hi Danny,

Great info that I can use. I appreciate your input & response. Thanks

Be well,
Rebecca

You are welcome

Since your area of interest is so wide, try to reduce it down to a few closely related topics for your first niche. You can always add more topics when your business starts to generate sales.

Cheers!

Edwin

Hi Edwin,

Great input!!

I thank you for you for responding to my question.

Much success,
Rebecca

I chose one of my passions and started there. Getting stuck doesn't seem like an issue with the breadth of your likes.
Weddings for example could be tens of thousands of topics and products. IE parties, planning, bands, DJs, wedding singers, cakes, party favors, decorating etc. No end to possibilities and links and blogs regarding the various aspects of just weddings.
good luck!

Hi lbj1,

I am so thankful that you replied to my question. This really helps.

When I think about it, I was thinking of the whole pie and now you have cut it into pieces for me.

This definitely puts me on the right track and now I don't feel so overwhelmed.

You rock!!

Thanks,
Rebecca

hey hi Rebecca & welcome to Wealthy Affiliate (WA) Premium!

It's all good!

Selecting a successful niche is one that you are truly interested in already by way of in-depth knowledge or experience with it --- for a first niche, this would be the best way to go and one that you wouldn't necessarily need to research too, too much on it... one that would flow easier in blogging about extensively over a good time period to get the engagement of your audience and the results that you are looking for ...

and of course, with your interest in generating revenues from your selected niche -- suggest do a bit of research to find out what the financials or statistics that might be available in relation to wedding products for instance ... also, carry on with the amazing WA training and you may fine that will also help to fine-tune your choice of niche ...

all the best to you for every success, cheerio ... ⭐️🎈⭐️

Hi Keish,

I like your suggestions and your perspective.

Rebecca

you're most welcome -- glad to be of help -- we love questions!

.... keep progressing forward & upward to success, cheerio ... 😊

Hi Rebecca,

one Niche that has fairly low competition but can generate an income would be 'cheap weddings'

Anything from venues, rings, dresses, supplies, shoes, favors, gifts etc.
Just type cheap weddings in Jaaxy or Google Keyword Planner and you will see how many options there are for this.

It's amazing how many people are trying to do it cost-effectively.

Hope this helps,
Mark

Hi Mark,
