Hello everyone! I am not sure I understand well about domain. WA hosts our domain but we have to buy the domain name from somewhere else or we setup a domain name that we own di

If you are Premium, you have Unlimited Hosting for your Websites. You do pay for your Own Domains though. Try and and use NameCheap instead of Go Daddy. Go Daddy will charge you more for the 2nd year, I believe.

Thank you Meredith! I had never heard of NameCheap before and as I told OldMule, I will try them.

Namcheap = buy domain name
Point NS to WA =>
Dashboard Add name => build a website

Thank you OldMule! I will try NameCheap.

Hi Martine,

Kyle has explained it here better than I could my friend;

http://goo.gl/2lmi1N

Thank you Damien! I had seen that but was not sure if he was telling to buy for the members that were not Premium. Now it is all clear. Thanks again!

Sorry Martine, & how odd, these comments did not populate when I left mine. Though, I'm glad you have your answer.
(Pc maintenance time for me...)

You have to own your domain. In order to do this, you must buy a domain name from a Domain Registrar like NameCheap.com or GoDaddy.

Good thing is once you are a WA Premium member, you can host unlimited domains that you own without any additional cost. The only additional cost you have is the purchasing of the domains from the Domain Registrar.

Once you have bought your domain from a Domain Registrar, you can then right away set up the DNS to the WA hosting. When you are ready to do this, you can check this training on how to do it:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wa-hosting-setting-up-your-domain-dns/a_aid/05456721

Hope this clears it up for you. Let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with.

Cheers!

Eddie C.

Thank you very much for your help Eddie! This makes it all clear! I already have a domain name with GoDaddy for my local business and I was wondering if it is better with NameCheap or GoDaddy?

I'm glad I was of help. In regards to which is better, I would go with NameCheap mainly because they don't try to upsell you with a bunch of things that you really don't need.

Plus NameCheap gives you "WhoisGuard" privacy protection, which protects your personal contact information from anyone that is searching on the Whois database at a very affordable price, and it's FREE for the first year.

Plus, the prices upon renewal with NameCheap are way lower than that of GoDaddy.

Let me know if you have any further questions going forward and I'll gladly assist you.

Cheers!

Eddie C.

If you want your own .com domain name you have to register it somewhere else. If you don't want to register your own domain you can create a siterubix stie that will be a subdomain of siterubix.com which would look like yoursite.siterubix.com

Thank you for your help! I will buy my own as I think is better like Kyle explained in his trainings.

Hello everyone!!! In this lesson, do I have to read all the links that are within the article because, after reading a few of them, I find that if my website is not up yet, it i

I'd read the links and then go back to where you left off. The worst thing you can do is skip around.

Thank you Meredith! That's what I did! I surely will come back as I go forward and build my website.

Thank you Arka and Wayne! I will continue reading then. I guess this will all become clear as I move on.

I'd say you can read on and get an understanding, when you're ready to implement you can come back to it.

Just make sure that you come back

Hello everyone!!! In Lesson #2, do we have to read all the links within also because as I read a few of them I found that if my website is not already on line and I do not have

I would suggest going through if lesson and taking detailed notes. That way if you move on you will not forget anything. From my experience you may learn something in lesson 1 but forget about it in lesson 7. If you take good notes then you will have references that you can look at later.

Thank you Kamil!!! I did take a few notes and I am sure I will still have to come back to lessons learned when my website is up!!! Thank you again!!! Really appreciate!!!

Actually I know I heard Kyle talk about it but what exactly means member ranking? Is it the way you interact with people within the community here? Is it your activities online?

Thank you! I will remember this next time! Thank you Patti!

Never feel awkward asking a question. This is a question that many new members ask. Glad you received the answer and the help you needed. Cheers :) Patti

Hi ReveBoraBora! You may want to check out Kyle's training on the subject of Ambassadorship. It gives you a complete overview. Short version: your ranking has a lot to do with how often your helping people, creating websites, chatting, creating training and the like. Best wishes to you on WA!

Actually, my main language is French, and I would like to know if anyone has explored this possibility?

Thank you for your answer!

I speak English also and I know that when I search on the internet, I get much more results in English but I could have one website in English and one in French. I live in thé province of Québec in Canada.

I found this in another WA discussion:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language

http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language

Btw: You can always use the search bar at the top of the WA site with a keyword. I typed ''french'' and I fell upon this discussion.
Also, if you want members to see your reply to their comment, you have to use the ''reply'' button at the bottom of the comment. This way, members will be notified by email when you reply to them, if not your reply might go unnoticed.

Hope this helps!

Sure you can. But is your geotarget in France? If so then google have plenty of resources for doing SEO in different regions. When you search google it takes into account your location or general area where your IP address resides. Now if you are doing SEO for but you are using French but target non-french speaking locations, then it might be a little harder. Just google "seo in other languages". You could also do install a plugin that allows visitor to choose the language they wish to read the website in. But translation software then to be too literal.
