had to stop prem, could you still promote WA on your own websites?

Thank you everyone!

see Kyle has explained it for you, now I to know something knew

Good that Kyle was around to answer you. I was getting confused

You can still promote WA, but you only receive income and commissions when you are an active Premium member. You could still promote WA and if you see activity and traffic going up (along with referrals) it would only make sense to resubscribe to earn your commissions.

Thanks for that answer Kyle, was getting asked that a bit lately.

Thanks Kyle! What link / links would one use to do that? There is method to my madness to be sure ;-)

Was going to ask that question. Thanks very much for asking.

You need to have an active affiliate ID number in order to be paid commissions.

As Angela suggests, double check with Kyle.

I know that one cannot downgrade to Starter lever after being premium.

You can return to WA at any time by logging in to resume payments

More info here: Let us know what Kyle says so we we all know for future reference.

This question was asked before and it was answered that you could still get commission but it would be at a free member rate. I never saw Kyle chime in though so it would be best to send him a PM to get 100% accuracy.

You cannot downgrade, once Premium always a Premium level member. See my response above.

The problem is that to effectively promote the Premium membership to others, you should understand the current state of the Premium membership.

If not, then we would have people promoting WA that had no idea or pulse on what was actually happening at WA and they would definitely not be able to interact and help their referrals which would pose many, MANY more issues.

I agree and in essence that is how I responded to the last question I saw about this. Thank you for clearing this matter up Kyle. :)

Hi Rena. A person has to be a member of WA in order to promote them on their website.

No you couldn't unless you could create another account. You need an active account to generate commissions and when your premium ends your account goes inactive.

(and are still using the non-member themes etc.)?

No, once you become premium you can not go back. I have struggled each month so I can understand how you feel

do not think you can go back to the free membership, best to move your site to another hosting provider until your in a position to come back as a premium member, be a shame to see you go though

It's a pity if you can't afford it, but it would be strange when every premium could use all the knowledge to create a great website, and when finished, would go back to free and free hosting

That's true, but there are a couple of things. I think that there should be clear and fair warning. And, in my case, I haven't upgraded my website template or anything, I just kept it like I was non-premium, just in case.

It's good that they let you 'come back' & pick up where you left off though.

But if I had known this, I would've gotten more caught up & been more prepared before going premium. Kyle & Carson are doing a great thing, & it's well worth the cost, I believe in them. I just think a little more transparency would do them better justice.

Never thought of this, this way:) I just made up my mind, when I saw the riches of knowledge here, and decided to stay at least the next ten years:)

yup im in the same boat here.

Well, lets keep in touch, maybe there's a way we can help each other. My email is rena.wealthyaffiliate@gmail.com

You can leave premium still rich amount of knowledge to make your website sell great products and help customers great selected services. Try do it all free. Make sure use time and money wisely. Could be just far to accomplish. At the same time, lots of us here wish you good luck on your business.

just make sure you build your sites well.

Sadly no they can't. Once your premium ends your subscription ends as well until you restart it.

I wonder why that is, I'm thinking maybe I should've stayed a non-premium member so I could at least keep learning & practicing. I just lost my income, that's why I'm asking. It might be ok but I'm just preparing for the worst case scenario.

Thank you for taking the time :-)

I'm guessing it's that way because people would then be able to come and build premium websites with their own domain and then switch back and have them hosted on wa still.

That's sad to hear. I know what that's like since I'm facing my subscription running out in a few days as well but this isn't the first time.

You're welcome, I hope you are able to afford it.

As a free offer you get only 7 days access to the community and very limited courses to learn. If you are to join free and stay that way you need to be able to run and take care of your site with no help other than support issues and you can only do it with 2 free sub domains from WA not your own domain name.

Can/should we share other member’s websites / pages?

you can share from here to your website which is why there is an affiliate link on our profile and on the top of each post, if unsure you can pm Kyle

Personally, I'm still a bit unclear as to how to go about this issue.
It is stated by Kyle and a few others that we can share anything posted here, as long as we use our affiliate link at the top of the particular page.
However, what I still dont know is weather we can use that in order to create content for our own blogs, because to my mind that would be totally wrong.
-Theuns

You can make a link to everything published on the Internet.

When permitted

The answer varies. You can share and even on your website, which you need permission to. Then that's promoting, having links from other's sites. But then you can also share here or social media as a post, it's sharing, liking.

Self promotion on WA is kinda frowned upon, even though a ton of people do it. They might not be aware of the rules. Unless of course you use the feedback section.

As in sharing other peoples sites. I would get their permission first just to make sure it's ok. As in, if you want to link to someone else's website on your own site. Doesn't hurt to ask.. "Hey do you mind if I do this" Plus, it will benefit you both in the long run.

Now, some people in the live chat will link other peoples sites as an example of what to do or what not to do. I guess it's alright. I'm no site moderator, so I would just use your own judgment over all.

I'm not sure what you mean by self promotion, I wouldn't know how that would work. But you're saying to get permission first, which makes sense. And how would that benefit both parties?

self promotion as posting your website, or someone elses websites throughout your blog on WA.

And it benefits you both, as in, if you are in the same niche, or similar niche and you are sharing links to each other sites. You are sharing traffic and helping one of another. Plus, if the site you are linking to is ranking higher than yours or has a more trust factor with search engines. This will boost your site as well.. and vice versa

How does the ranking work?

The ranking on WA is a combination of factors, to mention a few, how quick do you react on new followers, how much times are your blogs shared, do you attend the chat, are your re: been liked, do you write tutorials and are they liked and read, do you like or/and react on a reaction on your blog etc. etc.
It is the overall activity, Rena

How active I you in the community but follow what TheFatguy has given you since it explain more

Hello Rena,
Check out this link, hit the learn more button. There is a good explanation linked there.

San

Ranking plays strategic moves in the competing game. You win, for example, you gain enough views, clicks, attractions, sales to your sites, by studying keywords and try master your content to get up with your ranking from keywords. But keywords are only a little part of it. It needs seo friendly support, achievements every day.

Don't worry about ranking. Concentrate on the training and building your site. While it's nice to get ranked on here, it has no bearing on your success, it just shows that you're very active in the community.

I'm not saying not to participate here, but don't get to caught up in it, and fixated on ranking...at the expense of working on your business.

Yes, thanks Chris, But I am just curious, not concerned.

Basically everything you do on here counts towards rank. I do some blogs and help out when I can. I also ask tons of questions, which is probably a big part of how I'm ranked in the top 100.

Well Said Chris, there will be plenty of time for worry about that later.

Is there a way to rearrange the order of the pages in the webiste builder?

no problem

You guys rock! Thank you!

you're welcome.. think we covered every option there lol

and if you just go through the QUICK EDIT, you'll have to refresh the page to notice the change

if you want to change the way it looks on the dashboard and not the way it appears on your website, go to EDIT or QUICK EDIT on the page and there is a box that says ORDER. you just type in the number that you want it to appear in. by default everything is set to 0, so if you just type 1 in on a page, it will appear at the end until you go through and change all of the others

Oh and if you meant what St3w4 said and you wanted to order how your domains look in site manager then there are just the 2 drop down menus. Can sort by domain name or creation date in ascending or descending order.

yes there is. I'll go look real fast so I can tell you exactly where...just to be clear, you're talking about how it looks to you on the dashboard and not the actual website, correct?

Hi, yes. If you go into your Dashboard and click Appearance then Menu, select the menu you are using and the pages you added will be there, you can drag and drop them in the order you want.. or right click to select "move up move down move out from under another page" etc"
