Hi,

I've recently changed two sites to the Genjit theme. On one site, I easily changed the header from "Genjit" to my own but on the second one, it just wont let me. I hav

Never used it, so I can offer no help, so very sorry!

I wish I could help you, but I can't. I feel for you, though. I have had my troubles with themes. I found Iconic One...I think Carson recommended it...and I love it. Just thought I'd mention that in case you feel like throwing in the towel!

I would love to help, but I have no idea. I Googled it and still have no idea.

I would consider opening updated pages on a separate browser than the one u are using to to make changes. I had similar issues and actually ended up realizing this method by accident but that was my issue!

Sorry! I haven't even heard of Genjit before. See if there is a training on that. It would be interesting to find out the answer to that. Think I would google it and see what I find.

Thank you Maria,
and sorry I cant offer any assistance on this one, (don't want to sound dumb here), did you type that into the question bar up top, certainly someone will respond that has used it, hope so. good luck, another one to ask is boomergp08 (Robert) he's quite knowledgeable about these things also Ole Mule is too, give them a shout. know it can be frustrating when your stuck in the middle of a project and you get stuck. Gerrrrr!

Is there a documentation print out for your theme? Is it a premium theme?

Have you tried to remove it from the tag line? OldMule helped me out with a similar problem, and it worked! Could you contact him?

I have not used this theme, but have you googled your problem, sometimes it may give the answer, or possibly youtube also, sorry I cant help.

Hi MT no I havent because been looking around the wordpress site for answers. Honestly so puzzled because theyare both identical sites - one lets me but the other one doesnt... lol Love your profile by the way, was very touched reading your story..

Maria :-)

Sorry Maria I cannot help you there as I dont have enough experience myself. There does not seem to many folk sending messages tonight they must be eating all there Easter eggs.I sent about 5 messages earlier as I got stuck on something and I got one message back but to no avail, hopefully you will get your answer tomorrow.

Ah thx for replying Mark. Kids are going back to school tomorrow after Easter break so I imagine lots of them will be having early nights! Dont worry I will get to the bottom of it :-)

Hi, I was just wondering how many new members we have in WA each day? Also how many of our new members convert to premium? This would be really useful information if anyone kno

Hi, Maria.-Your question is a very interesting one and the answer you are looking for may not be available or whatever the numbers turn out to be MAY NOT really that useful to anyone else. It appears you "updated" on Feb 17, 2014 ...just 4/5 days ago. From your "profile" i gather that though you have a position elsewhere, you are seeking a business like Online to either increase your income or to eventually leave your current position and go full-time Online. Since you are probably NOT yet upgraded to Premium, I would suggest that you do NOT upgrade until you go through all or MOST of the basis training and the Bootcamp [ALL FREE] because that will REALLY TELL YOU WHAT THE ONLINE BUSINESS IS ABOUT, HOW IT WORKS AND HOW YOU SHOULD OPERATE ON YOUR OWN. You will really be able to know if you want to continue in WA and if you choose to remain, plan to PREMIUM so you can make some money. You appear to have reason for 'doubts' about whether WA or any other Online Business is for you or not. Those are legitimate and NATURAL questions at your stage now! But whether the numbers you seek are high or low, without having the full knowledge of the FREE course and Bootcamp - - ANY DECISION YOU MAKE ABOUT THE NUMBERS YOU SEEK COULD BE WRONG FOR YOU. I would suggest that you wait for the NUMBERS until you go through the FREE stuff and Bootcamp. WA and/or the Online Business may NOT achieve what you may be looking for, for now. Good luck, my good friend!

Hi Mike and thanks for taking the time to reply to me in such great detail. I have been a member since November 30th and loved it here so much went premium about a week later. I actually do understand how it all works. I'm sorry to anyone who has taken it that I'm not premium or that I have doubts. My reason for wanting to know how many new members each day is nothing as complicated as you might think.. it is simply so that I can tell people (potential WA members) we have this many new members per day, come and see why we're so popular... no deeper hidden meaning I'm afraid. Many people like to hear statistics or like to know something is popular with others.. I just thought having this info would be useful to create interest.. Thanks for the good wishes :-)

In my opinion, the stats about how many people join WA everyday is not what I want to worry about, not that it has never crossed my mind. To me, the important thing is, what are people doing with their membership. In other words, what accomplishments, be it personal or business, can I point at since joining this community?

May be there should be a survey about this.

Wow busy place

Maria I would not leave it up to those statistics to decide whether I should upgrade. If you are satisfied with what you have seen or learnt so far, then you should be in a position to make an independent decision. Best of luck

The amount Kyle shows following would not be a good indicator because he automatically follows when someone joins and I'm sure a large percentage of those don't upgrade.

Yes you're possibly right. It would be good to know the facts though wouldn't it?

I agree, this shows the number of people who join as free member and paid member.

I think you are right Virgie

Good question - I'd like to know as well :)

Hi Karina - I've sort of found the official reply after looking around - this was written by Kyle about eight months ago...

We don't reveal exact numbers, but I can tell you that I currently have 50,118 people following me here at WA and this is since that "follow" system was implemented in October of 2012 :)
If you are talking about the actual activity within the community (and you are promoting WA), the best way to do this is to actually "show them". Show them a live chat thread, show them you getting help to your questions in a timely fashion. This is what people are interested in, getting help. They are not interested in the actual number.

Hi Maria,
I'm sure the number of people that join changes all the time, but if you'd like to do you own little experiment.
Checkout Kyle's or Carson's network https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kyle/network

At the time of writing this post 9:26PM EST Kyle is following 131,826 people at WA. I believe both Kyle and Carson follow all new members by default, but numbers are off a little.

Thank you Welshy!

Hi Maria. If you click on WA Affiliate program to the left (or below) it will give you an idea of how many upgrade to premium.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share

Keep in mind only 8 people went to Vegas this year. This will give you an idea of how hard it is to achieve the 300 mark.

Best of Luck

Hi Devan - thanks for this info. Maria

I think knowing these statistics could help our marketing. If our readers know how popular WA is they might want to take a look

I did as well.

Hi Maria. No idea on how many new members daily, but I believe it is significant. I converted to Premium in my first 24 hours.....Best of luck to you!

Hi Joe. Thnk you for that. I was looking around for info and I found this which I found interesting. http://issuu.com/affiliatesummit/docs/affstat-2013. Maria

Interesting stats and question, I wonder as well.

Hi, I can't log into my website. I've changed from IE to Firefox immediately before that but can't work out why that would matter. I've double checked

Did you get this fixed?

Still having problems?

Try the old password, perhaps it is still a valid one.

Not sure if you have tried this or not, or if you have logged in but....
I was having troubles logging into the profile I had created for myself on wordpress. I logged in as Admin, which worked, then changed my password under my personal name. That worked just fine and I haven't had problems since.

Don't know the answer but I am interested to hear what the final answer will be. hope you get your problem solved quickly!

Look in website details.....that's where you log in, just to the right and you will see the password....try that.
John

Make sure your on Word Press and try again. I would suggest using Google for your browser. Hope this helps.

Thanks Roy. I will try this too. Much appreciated.

Hi Maria
Are you using Wordpress? if so request a password, but first what name are you using for user? that need to be correct, try manually putting the password in place and lastly put the full URL in the browser http://www.sitename.com/wp-admin that's just in case it's a browser problem. Hope that helps.

Cheers Mike I will try that.

sorry forgot aa slash www.tour site.com/wp-admin/

Thanks Jaker, I just clicked on my actual link in build my website so it has to be the right one.

just to be clear type www.(the name of your wesite).com/wp-admin/

try www.yourwebsie/wp-admin/

also when you created the site here on WA a password should have been created as well and is included with the login details.

Hi,

I'm thinking of installing a forum plugin on my site. There are quite a few to choose from and I'm not sure which one to go with. Does anyone have one installed that's

Maria,
Mark's suggestion is a good one. I have multiple websites that use BBPress and have never had a problem. BBPress has many add-ons that seamlessly allow you to scale the functionality is you need or desire to do so later.

I would highly suggest another plugin called P3 (Plugin Profiler) to monitor how specific plugins are affecting your site performance. If your site is slow, it presents a usability issue for your users as well as affecting your rankings. See at: http://wordpress.org/plugins/p3-profiler/

Hi There!

Thank you for your help - all invaluable because I'm totally reliant on others with this. I will take your word and go for it! :-)

Hi Maria.

I don't have one installed - but one which I see mentioned a lot (top 10 reviews etc) is BBPress - you can have a look here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress/

It was last updated yesterday - so is very up to date.

I hope this helps?

All the best, Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks very much for that, I will have a look at it. Very nervous of adding something I know very little about lol. Guess I can just delete it if I cant understand it! :-)

Hi Maria - no problem.

And yes, you can deactivate any plugin if you're not happy with it.

All the best, Mark

How do I find out who my sponsor is?

I don't think the "first message in your profile" rule always holds true. The first message in mine is from Carson, but he wasn't the one who referred me to WA.

If you need any help or guidance, you are not obliged to ask your "sponsor" for it. WA is a huge community with live chat, discussions and a lot more so you can simply go through the training ans ask the questions along the way, someone will always help you :)
- Alex

Don't you remember who's post you read had the link you click to subscribe?:)

This is not AA even though there is a 12 step program :-)

Ha ha - what did I miss there? Aha - a sponsor! Think Ill stick with WA thanks mik!

It could be anyone who hasn't set up a "welcome" message.
I haven't.
;)

I wouldn't know how to! That info must be in the training somewhere huh? Im working on a theory and want to ask him how I got here.. landing page, ad etc

Thank you Guys :-) . So that's standard then, the person who welcomes you is your sponsor unless your sponsor doesn't send you a welcome message? xx

Yes it is always the very first message on your profile unless they haven't setup a welcome message. That is how you can tell

Usually new members receive a welcome from their sponsor and either Kyle or Carson but you only got one from Kyle...deduction, Kyle is most likely your sponsor.

Your sponsor is Kyle:)

you were referred by Kyle. It is usually the first comment on your profile and it will be a welcome message.

Checking your profile messages looks like your sponsor is Kyle unless your sponsor didn't send you a welcome.

Should be the first person that you are following after kyle, I thank.

Thank you that's great.
