OMG! I was fine tuning my website and came across this

http://naturalinspi

Your site is looking great well done

I see you've already gotten great answers, which I agree that this is nothing to worry about. RSS feeds are basically a way to list posts on websites and every time you add a new blog post it's added to the list. At least that's my understanding of them.

Very nice site, BTW! Keep up the awesome job :) -Sherry

Thank you soooo much Sherry!

I agree. I looked at your website and it looks good.

Oh thank you! I wasn't feeling very happy about the layout or theme which doesn't have the tagline that I would like. Thanks again!

Yes, that is your website as an RSS feed. If you are ever asked for your website as a feed, that is what you would use.
Best Regards,
Jim

Hi Jim. Thank you. But may I ask who would ask for it and why? (As a feed?)

It's not as effective as it used to be, probably because of Social Media, but if another website wanted to list your updates to your blog as they happened, and they were using RSS to do it, you would give them that feed.

There are also services like SocialAddr.com and SocialMonkee.com that will submit your website via RSS.

The major autoresponder services support a feature where your email list can be notified anytime you publish a new post and they accomplish it via RSS.

That would be an RSS feed I believe.
Nothing to worry about :)

Thanks Shawn!

Hi, it will be okay don't panic :-) It is an XML file. I don't see that when I click on your site, where did you run across it ?

OK. When I type in my website name....it can see it listed several times and this was one of what I saw. Thanks for calming my fears! :)

I am contemplating using a You Tube video made by some else on my site/next blog, but I want to be within the latest guidelines. I read somewhere that You tube encourages this a

I thought it is ok to use it as long as your not passing it off as your own

A fter hearing Jay's training vid last night I also got more clarity...it is ok to use....

I think they probably do encourage it, since the video can lead people back to youtube, and also lead to more video / ad views from your page.

thanks for the tip

As long as it has a share tab you can use it

thanks tommy!

Hello everyone!

My website (www.naturalinspire.com) is starting to come along very well, with some minor tweaks. I will be changing my theme soon.

The problem I have

Glad you have managed to resolve the issue

thanks Katie

Yeahhh! I fixed it!...it wasn't the read more button, but more of the area under 'settings; 'For each article in a feed: then there are 2 options:
1. full test
2. summary
I had full text checked, but changed to summary and the 'missing' content showed up! hoot, hoot! :))

The whole first article does not come up so I would think it might not be working on the post side, not the more button side.
Why I have no idea. :)

I thought that too, spent a lot of time going back and forth...I'm thinking it's the categories but can't put my finger on it

I see what you mean. Maybe you can try deleting the read more link from the post and try reinserting again. The other post is working fine.

i tried that but will try again. thanks

Hey Reese, I checked your site. The black soap read more link is working fine. However, the first article on baking soda and vinegar wont open. I have no idea the cause of it, but I would double check to see how your second article on black soap is set up and see if there is something different between the two articles that may be causing it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Hey there, I did that too..I'll double check. It's gonna be a long night, lol! thanks

I was looking at a way to correct the line spacing on my web content DSO that the words are not so close together and saw there was extended options to formatting, a plug in U

thanks for your help; I figured out the problem and it looks much better.

it would seem the new upgrade on WP offers more tools hope you work it all out .. good questions for there were quite a few who used that plugin

You can use WP edit on any existing post/page. It adds the buttons to the Visual editor.

Have you set it up? You need to go into the WP edit options (click on WP edit which will be in the left near the bottom of the dashboard). You have to drag the buttons you want from the icon placeholder to the Editor rows. Once you've done that they will appear for all pages/posts.

You can only use the top row of edit buttons with the free version, so you'll have to limit which buttons you add to fit the top row.

hello!
oh, ok...I will try that...thanks so much!

It looks much better, thanks for the advice!

Hey Charisse,

What you need to do is disable the Tiny MCE plugin, then add the plugin called "WP Edit" and activate it.

To add the WP Edit plugin click on "Add New" when on your plugins page and search for "WP Edit". You will find it in the search and you can add it from there.

Hope this helps!

Carson

Yes, thanks Carson, I think it will. I'll let you know if it isn't what I needed. :)

Well Carson, it looks like I have added this plug in. Because I already have pages created; It doesn't look like I can utilize these functions. Maybe on any new content or post/pages,is this correct? Or is there a way around this?
