Scared of starting a site?

Does the thought of starting a website scare you? Let me tell you something.

When I first started Karate I was really scared about being around people I had never met, and don't get me started on learning Karate. I was worried the teacher would hate me if I messed up a lot on the moves he taught me. But, When I went more and more I became friends with the teens in the class and even became friends with the teacher and the sempai.

When I started my site I was worried about that too, What will I mess up? What will I break on my site? Will I be a bad writer for this site!? and there were more questions just like these. But here's the thing. We are learning. And we never stop learning new things in life. When I was starting karate and Abby and I didn't get to do the first belt test as white belts, I was wondering. Hmm what did we do bad for this? But Abby and I didn't do anything bad, they don't let the newbies have a belt test because they don't know enough karate for the test. Being a blue and yellow belt now the teacher is going to expect more from my sister and I. And I am so ready to this new chapter.

When having your site be on the web can feel scary too, waiting for google to find a post or even the home page. When they found me I was overjoyed and keep writing so I can get found again. So to those who are "Scared" That they might not be good enough for having a website. Let me tell you this. Do you think I got this new belt because I was rushing the tests and being nice to the teacher? (Yes on being nice)

So here is the bottom line. Keep working, push towards your goals whatever that may be and just keep your head held high. You can do this! I believe in you!

Here is a picture of Abby and I with our teacher yesterday.

(We wore masks because Abby and I haven't got the shot yet.)

Scared - not really, rather I was not really enthused to take action yet, the plan was may be in a year or two, until the pandemic kicked me in the backside. And that was the challenge- currently am glad I challenged myself despite not much results (gave myself a year after all 😊)

Hey, Maybe last year was a great one for some, I know a lot were working from home or the found this site and are having a great time on here. Just like me.

Have a great weekend!

Great advice to challenge us to always put our best foot forward in confidence knowing that we're winners.

Exactly what i was saying.

Looks like you two could whup my behind

lol. you never know.

Lol

I mean, Abby and I are very sweet but, if someone is trying to hurt us or stealing something of ours, we will fight them off. So you are safe don't worry to much.

Lol it sounds then like I need you two as my bodyguards. It's smart though to learn this self-defense skill. Waytago!

Great job Rebekah. We should always challenge ourselves to start something new.

I agree!

I was scared of delivering a presentation for the first time when I was in the university. I even shook my body during speech and mumbled.

Feeling scared is normal sometimes, sometime you should be scared and honestly, "if your scared about it, that means it's something you should do."

it's my favorite quote from an actor.
