Greek mousaka anyone?
Tomorrow I will cook a mousaka and I would like to give you the recipe! What do you say, are we starting?
We will need:
- 3-4 eggplants
- 3-4 large potatoes
- 1 kilogram of mince
- 2 large red onions
- 1 packet of tomato sauce
- 1 glass of wine red wine
- 1 cinnamon stick
- salt
- pepper
Implementation:
Cut the potatoes and aubergines in dishes. Fry them or bake them if you want your mousaka to be lighter. Let them cool by leaving them aside until you need them.
Prepare your minced meat. Pour some olive oil into a saucepan and cook your mince. Chop your onions and, after the mince is cooked, pour them into the pot until they are wrinkled. Turn off the wine and add the tomato sauce.
Season with salt, pour the cinnamon into the saucepan and add water. Boil until all liquids are saved and minced meat is cooked.
Lay a potato layer on the baking dish, then a layer of minced meat and at the top a layer of eggplants.Repeat the process once more. Finish with one layer of bechamel cover with the béchamel sause that you will prepare easily.
For the bechamel sause we will need:
- 3-3 1/2 glasses of fresh milk
- 5 tablespoons flour sifted
- some olive oil
- 2 eggs
- salt
- nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons of butter
Implementation
In a pan put all the ingredients except butter. Start cooking on moderate heat to simmer the cream. Stir continuously with wire until the cream thickens, add the butter.
Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes. Let it cool so it can be cut into pieces and serve your family and friends.
Good luck and bon appetit!
