Tips To Recover From The June 2019 Google Update

Since I came back from my all-paid vacation (thanks to WA) a few months ago, it's been a constant struggle to get my website improving.

An incident that stunted the growth of my website was the Google Update that happened in June 2019, where so many of our websites were affected. Some people seem to not have recovered from it.

But I am seeing an improvement and although I'm still working my way back to have my stats go back to normal, I think I'm doing something right because I'm seeing results.

Just look at this!! Wonderful sight for sore eyes, right?

And that's why I want to share with you of what I did for the past four months to get over the hump. I went from having 48 referrals in a month to only 9 in June, which is horrible. So something had to be done.

Quitting came across my mind a few times but I have invested too much money and too much time in this website to just give up. Besides, there is proof already on WA that this business model works so why give up when I know success will eventually come?

What we have to remember is that everybody's journey is different and if you're not earning as fast or as much as somebody else, it does not mean that you won't get there eventually.

As hard as it was to keep patient while working and not seeing results, I ploughed on.

I wrote and published a post almost every single day. I optimized the post by following Jay's training that you can find below:

I also optimized my images by manually reducing their size and adding an ALT description. This really helps with the load times of your website. The faster the load time, the higher the chance of your visitors staying on your website, the lower your bounce rate will go and the better you'll rank.

Additionally, I also tried as much as possible to create Youtube videos for my posts, published them on Youtube, embedded them on my website and even put a link in the Youtube video description to lead my viewers to my website.

The result from this was, from a sad 9 referrals and 0 sales in June, to 40 referrals and 1 new WA sale in July. This month (August), we're just shy of being halfway through the month and I already have 1 new WA sale and 23 referrals.

As you can see, I'm back on track to beating my Feb 2019 record. I really hope that this month will be the month!

Some people look at my profile and tell me that I've been here for 19 months, and if this business really worked, it should have been generating me a full-time income by now. But I disagree with this way of thinking.

Being a business owner, especially with WA, means that you're a solo rider. So you have to figure things out on your own and things aren't always easy. That's what somebody who hasn't been long enough in this business will NOT understand.

There are problems that can be fixed within 5 minutes and then, there are those pesky problems that can take your website MONTHS (like mine did) to get over.

So no matter what others tell you, keep working, keep learning and keep striving to meet your business goals, whether or not they are financial goals.

I think of all of us here at WA like stars in the sky. Each star will shine when it's the right time for it. If somebody else is shining brighter than you right now, it does not mean that your time to shine will never come.

It just means that you have to keep working, improve where you can, be patient and the time of success will come when it is destined for you.

Every star in the sky does not shine at the same time, right?
