Apple’s First Foray into Spatial Computing
The latest extraordinary gadget from Apple. Introducing Apple Vision Pro. Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality AR/VR Headset. This device seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space.
You navigate simply by using your eyes, hands, and voice using special computing. Apple Vision Pro is a combination of virtual reality and augmented reality. It comes with a hefty price tag of $3,500 out the gate.
The Price is Astronomical
By the way, this amazing device isn’t meant for most people. Probably because of it price. According to the New York Times, the Apple Vision Pro has a M2 and a new R1 chip inside, a dozen cameras, and a bunch of sensors and has cost Apple an arm and a leg to make this beast. (CEO Stephen Lee).
Advanced Machine Learning
Apple’s Vision Pro will let users make a digital Avatar so they can have more realistic video chats. The tech giant said it uses “Advanced Machine Learning,” a form of AI, to represent movement. VR Sickness Among Consumers
Using VR technology for long periods of time may cause eyestrain. Also, a new term has cropped up in the VR community called VR sickness. While immersed in Virtual Reality these symptoms may surface:
- Nausea
- Eyestrain
- Dizziness
- Disorientation
- Vertigo
- Motion sickness
Hope You Can Handle Contact Lens
For those of us who wear glasses, like yours truly, you will have to take them off. So, that kind of rules out a few of us already.
Advantages

- Advance in Science and Technology.

- Makes education more interesting
Disadvantages
- Quite Expensive to use in everyday life
- Less accessible for small business

Great post!
This tech really isn't entirely new. Of course, the computing power, sensor arrays that gather information from the environment, and the machine learning capabilities are revolutionary.
I still have a pair of "X Specs 3D" glasses that I used back in the late 1980s to create virtual three-dimensional wireframe interactive images and animations.
They were designed to be used with the Commodore Amiga computer, so I programmed them in the AmigaDOS operating system.
The concept was revolutionary for its time.
I found a photo of the glasses online (see attached image below).
Eventually, this type of tech will become a neuro-implant that interfaces with the optic chiasm of the brain, where information from the optic nerves of both eyes is split to send half of what we see to the opposite side of the brain's occipital lobes, which helps create what we interpret as stereo (three dimensional) vision.

Looks like Apple is going next level. I've never seen the X Specs 3D glasses, but I have watched 3Ds at Regal movie theater with Michele, hace viente anos. If you get my drift (lol). Before you know it, we'll be able to take a world tour in the comfort of home.

That's what I thought.
My Ex Bill was a nuclear scientist instructor/fighter pilot, and he wrote for mags too. I learned a lot of vocabulary from him. He had an IQ of 150. But he was a complete psycho. We were together for 16 years. It was fun and I learned a helluva lot from him.

My Bill, overall, was an amazing guy. Truth be told, we were besties after 16 years. I was his "honeybunch." His favorite come back was "shut-up and kiss me." This guy was ah-mazing.
In fact, Bill and my guy Scott were best buddies back in the day. Scott is also a high IQ. (TMI). Scotty is my 2nd marriage (20 years) and last. We are also besties.
The moral of the story, Franco, is to always, meet-up with, date, hangout with and (most importantly Marry) your best friend if that is your plan. True or False.

Yeah, we are husband and wife and best friends. We spend a great deal of time together and enjoy each other's company immensely.
In addition, we have very diverse interests, which makes it a lot of fun!
I think the fundamental ingredient for happiness is not based on IQ. Often times, I find that some of the smarter people have no idea how to enjoy the simple and best things that life has to offer.
For me, it's all about quality of life. I'm too busy having fun to be concerned with who I have to impress today. I'd rather be playing some music. Lol 😎

Hello Rachele, thanks so much for your update here, it sounds rather interesting.
I find that the next few years will be a quick jump into some rather adapting times.
When I think that cars as the Tesla will be AI operated and by the looks of things a lot of equipment could be using technology such as virtual realty to operate it.
To me there as will be a gap in the users of this tech, and as such jobs will outsource those that are not willing to use it is as I see.
