What's better for making money? Choosing your own niche or the affiliate bootcamp

Hi,

I don't want to dissuade anyone from entering the "make money online" niche, but do be aware of a few points:

1. Its SUPER-MEGA-ULTRA-HYPER saturated. Unless you are TRULY exceptional in building a LIST (and that means having VALUABLE content to give away, to build it), and can stand out in some extraordinary way, you WILL fail. It is NOT the easiest niche to get into... and frankly, I would also add, how would you teach others to make money online, when you haven't done it yourself, yet? It's unethical, first off, and you would lack the knowledge / results / social proof to be competitive enough to shine.

2. There is... well... a monumental amount of CRAP out there, in the "Make Money Online" niche; it has given the industry a bad, bad rap. Most people, while generally WANTING to learn how to make money online, will have been burned and scammed by the plethora of sharks out there, in this industry. Not only would you need to provide SERIOUS value, but you'd have to brand your IMAGE and REPUTATION as a trustworthy one, FIRST. Talk about a Catch-22 situation...

3. This particular niche is not static. While marketing tenets and core principles are the same as they were in the direct response days even 100 years ago, online marketing is ALWAYS changing. New technology, new platforms, new methodologies, changes in algorithms, changed in trade regulations, changes in advertising, change change change! Unless you have a genuine interest and passion in it, which will keep you afloat and up to date, you will FAIL.

Now... all that being said, if you STILL feel you're up to it, then more power to you! Don't expect miracles overnight, but congrats for showing spirit.

On the other hand, if there is a commercial viability in the niche you are approaching (non-online marketing related), then what's the reason for NOT pursuing it? It only makes sense to do so.

You will, of course, need to run the whole gauntlet of getting up to scratch on HOW to do so online. And that's what WA is for.

If you do want to promote WA, then by all means... go for it! It has reputation and integrity, within the industry. And that is already a lot.

-Josh

Hi Josh,

Certainly the make money niche is challenging, but I have a different take on this.

Your observation about a lot of crap out there is spot on. But that is more about the quality of the people behind those crap programs and campaigns, not an indictment of the niche itself.

Who doesn't need or want more money? The money making niche is viable and profitable, so who does not want a piece of that?

There are many shoddy products being promoted in other niches, for example, in the name of good health. For some promoters, it is only about making money - they don't care one iota about anyone's health or well being.

The real question is: how does a newbie promote WA, or promote in the money-making niche generally if he or she has not yet made any money?

My answer is simple: Do not lead with a money making proposition.

Lead with the value of the product, program or service that is on offer, e.g. does it help to build your first website, is the training best value, is the support reliable, is this something people want or need, are the people involved in the product/program honest and ethical, and so on. Be honest and ethical about your own experience.

For WA affiliates, the target audience should be those who want to learn ("learn being the operative word) to build a website first, then learn how to make it profitable, and then learn how to scale up their online presence to build an online business.

The WA affiliate program is in the money-making niche, but WA is not just about making money - it is about learning how to build a profitable business in any niche.

The make money online niche can be a tough one to break into as a new marketer. I would recommend that you start with another niche.

That said, the bootcamp training can be used for any niche but you will need to read between the lines as you progress. The techniques are valid for any niche.

Nice

Hello and Nice question Rayman1994.
Well, in my opinion it depends on the person.
I haven't really gone through the Affiliate Bootcamp so I can't say much.
But from the little personal experience in offline marketing, I found out that I'm the type of guy who has to Do it first And Obtain something before I can recommend it to anyone else.

So for now, I'll try to follow the system WA set up for a personally chosen niche and see where it goes. (Which by the way, is so far so good)
I set a goal at which if it is achieved, I can confidently say that WA does what it claims and More.
At that point on, promoting others to WA is a 'go' for me.
Confidence in the product is one of the key features, in my humble opinion, as the product defines you.

So yeah, perhaps it depends on the person?
This is just my personal take on it, so you might want to read around on what others think as well.
I'm a starter here at WA, so just dropping my less than creditable 2 cents.
Ah, and Good Luck and wish you All the best. :)

Regards,
Sayyid

Thanks for your answer. It's much appreciated

WA pays very well comparatively speaking, but no one can really answer this question for you. What are you best at promoting? Do you have a niche picked out and places to get your affiliate offers?

Hey, I was thinking video games etc but it's too broad. So I was thinking should I just start the affiliate bootcamp

You do not have to cover all video games. If you have a passion for one, you can choose just that one and if you play it, all the better! Never underestimate a video game microniche!

I guess I could. Thanks for your help!

Video games niche! :)
Starting out with the same one here. Wish you all the best.

Thanks, the same for you!
