If you have sent a buyer to a site and he purchases something but does not return for months and then buys something else without usomg your link do you make a commision?

Normaliter it sticks, but when your buuer has deleted all history and cookies or bought a new computer then the lifetime cookies are gone

If he doesn't use your link for the second purchase, I do not think you will be eligible for a commission. Did you get paid a commission an the buyers first purchase

If your customer logs on and they have bought from the program before you get the sale. Even if it is a year or two later.

It varies by program. With Amazon the cookie is only one day. With most merchants, the norm is 30 days, but I've managed programs with cookies that last 60, 90, 120 days or more. You need to check by program to know.

Yes

I guess it depends on the company.

I belong to an affiliate program that has never ending cookies. I did not know such thing existed.

I didn't either. That's pretty amazing.

It varies from Amazon's disgraceful 24 hours (which extends to 90 days if the visitor puts the item in their shopping cart) to a year, 2 years or forever for different affiliate programs. No rules, I'm afraid.

It totally depends on the program. A place like Amazon only had a 24 hour cookie where somewhere like wealthy affiliate has lifetime cookies

Oh yeah. Definitely. Those work really nicely. So if your link is the last link clicked, you get the referral.

As I understand it if you send a customer to their site and they buy something they are your customer for life. Even if the new customer does not remember his or her password even a year later they are your customer. Never thought about another affiliate sending them to the site. Will have to research that.

How do you create a blog? is it a page or post and how do you archive post.

Hi Ray
The experts have spoken
David

Hi Ray,
You have received all the answers you need.
but I thought it right to clarify to you the difference between a Page and a post.
Think of it this way:
Your website is a book.
The pages are its front and back cover and its introduction where you explain what the book is about.
The posts are its content - the story of your book.
If you keep this analogy in mind - I think you might find it easy to know when to write a post or a page.
Wishing you $ucce$$ - Orion

#1 To create a blog you go to the very top of the home page where you see the envelope, the bell, the plane, dollar sign, the w, and the pencil icon. Click on the pencil icon and begin writing your blog.
#2 It is a page
#3 Triblu left you a link on how this is done.

Tried and True

Elaine

You would typically create a post to go on a blog roll. You create a page for more permanent info such as your about me, privacy pages and other top menu items. I do not have enough posts to worry about archives, but I see someone has answered that for you.

Hey Ray,

Because you have yet to start creating posts, it will most likely be some time before you need to archive your posts. However, in order to answer your question as to how to archive your posts, here's a tutorial to help you with that: http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-archive-posts-without-deleting-them-in-wordpress/

Hope this helps you.

Hey Ray, check Israel17 out. He'll teach you how my friend! Hope it'll help you!

Take care!
