Hello all members,

I've heard many success stories about dropshipping, so what is exactly dropshipping? And is it recommended? Has anyone tried it?

Thanks in adva

When I was a PowerSeller on eBay I used drop shipping with success. If you decide to sell on platforms like eBay and Amazon or create an ecommerce website of your own, doing REAL drop shipping can be quite profitable.

Why did I emphasize the word real? Because there are many FAKE drop shipping companies out there. One sure-fire way to know if a drop shipping company is fake is if you have to pay a monthly membership fee. Real drop shippers are always free.

I wrote a blog post about a drop shipping training and wholesale supplier resource directory company, WBI, that has a tremedous track record. I, like a couple of other WA members, are lifetime members. Check out my post to learn how to avoid getting scammed by fake drop shippers.

Thank you very much for the valuable information.

It was my pleasure.

I often get emails from Oberlo about dropshipping, but never given it thought. You could check: https://www.oberlo.com/

I think Oberlo is a safe option for beginners, because each of the suppliers on offer in their range has been screened by Oberlo for reliability, and have entered into a relationship with Oberlo that allows special rates for their drop shippers.

Yeah Oberlo seems to be a reliable choice.

I've been sent numerous drop shipping emails from different service providers from click funnels to jkeitsudropshipping, but be careful if you choose one. They all promise big money. I'm still checking them out before I commit.

Are you thinking seriously about dropshipping? I've been searching the web and it seems a good idea, what about you?

I am but, still checking out a few different offers. I'll let everyone know if it works.

As Ivy says drop shipping information is the way to go. I can remember the days when you had a physical product at your home base and shipped it out physically (1980's).

Thank you Michael.

you sign up as an affiliate of a company who has products to sell, you resell them from your website and the company ships the product to your customer with your label on it

Thank you

So, this is more of an affiliate marketing but elevated on a higher level. Wow, great idea! :)

Do you recommend it?

If you are building your own brand of products but behind the scene you're operating as an affiliate marketer and don't wanna spend much time creating your own product, then it's good. Highly recommended! :)

Great, thanks.

Hi

Drop shipping is when you resell cheap items you purchase from manufacturers (usually in China) at a profit from an online store you populate with descriptions of their products.

Although some like this business model because they can quickly start selling wares they don't need to fill their own warehouses with, it still requires financial outlay from you. You need to purchase the product and arrange delivery on behalf of your customer. You need to be prepared to accept the losses if your delivery is not sent, or if your customer wants a refund.

In order to find your customers, you'll also need to spend quite a bit of money on advertising via social media. To make a profit, you need to repeat and scale often, and that will be only after find a winning product.

More dropshipping stores are abandoned than actually make a mint. There are many courses online teaching people how to dropship, as their are books. Selling success stories is a profitable niche business.

Thanks Ivy!

No worries, there are a few platforms out there that offer to make the turnover for drop shipping smoother - you could look at Oberlo as an example.

Hello fellow members,

I'm just wondering whether its possible to change the theme of one of my site's pages or install a plugin that would make that page look like www.t

I don't know about changing a page or part of your theme. I just looked at your site and think it's really good. Easy access, good flow and some neat stuff on it as well.

Hello Dean,

Thanks for your honest opinion :) I appreciate it.

Here's a possibility. Checkout the 5 year advisory Rawan!https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-theme/

Thanks Michael for your great help, I have downloaded it to my pc, or shall I install it as a plugin in my wordpress?

I would go the plugin route Quicker and more efficient!

Authoring & Writing Content
Updated

Hello dear member,

My question is:
Is it allowed to get info about a certain product from an affiliate website to write a review by copying and pasting these info fro

Always tweak the content to your own description. It's called repurposing Rawan!

Thank you Michael.

You need to write your own copy; Borrow, heavily from your affiliate source, but make it YOUR words!

Thank you for your advise.

Please don't use copy and paste. Read and write for yourself. Google can be sensitive to that and may not rank your page. The other day someone blogged about using screen shots on a particular page or post and it was not being ranked. He realised that it may be due to the screen shots which are more or less copy and paste.

Good to know about the screen shot also, thank you!

Hey Rawan, I agree with the others. It's best to write your own descriptions of the products. :)

Thanks Marlinda!

Sorry, Rawan - I may have misunderstood your question...

To clarify - if you are speaking of taking from the site of another affiliate or reviewer, best not to copy and paste. If you are speaking of the manufacturer or vendor to which you are an affiliate, it's fine to bring in descriptive content as part of an affiliate link ad. Otherwise, better to use your own words, and let the detail be handled by the vendor or e-commerce site after your visitor clicks the link.

Yes that exactly what I meant :)
Thanks again for your help.

Rawan, our own description is generally the best policy for SEO and for building authority with our visitors. I'm no expert, but I've heard this advice from others who are.

I think it makes sense here just like in conventional writing for print to only copy from other published materials when you quote the copy and attribute it to the source. Of course if you are confident of the accuracy of the information, it makes sense to repeat it in your own words. Copy and paste is generally a bad idea unless you do short bits, and enclose the words in quotation marks. Even then, there may be SEO issues if the quote is too long. Of course the most powerful content is your own knowledge from your personal experience. Clearly, unique is the best policy and gives the best shot at good ranking and positive impressions on your followers and customers.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks my friend!
