Google Analytics - Looks Very Complicated, are you Using it?
During our Bootcamp training here on Wealthy Affiliate, we giving instructions on how to install Google Analytics, and it is suggested that we have to wait until we have some traffic so that we can be able to have some data to work with.
I've never turned and looked at the analytics until quite recently. Wow, so much information! It got me thinking if we ever go back to switch it on and see what kinds of information go through there?
I was blown away by the number of statistics and cross-reference that's actually going to help with my business. I thought let me look at this program and find out from our Wealthy Affiliate Gurus, how they use the analytics and how has it helped them to improve their business.
Apparently, this is the reason why this Analytics is important, it is meant to help you grow your website:
It provides visitors data and It can identify many things like:
- Which country does your visitor come from?
- Which city?
- What kind of technology do they use to visit your Site, Mobile phone, or computers?
- Analytics goes so deep into looking at, Which pages do you visitors flocked to?
This is all exciting stuff, so cool! I like this, it allows you to track and understand your visitor behavior, user experience online, Wow! You can then be able to make any necessary adjustments on pages that get more traffic and get even more.
While there are many other web Analytics tools. Google Analytics is free! and we all have it installed in our systems.
It's almost like a stalker that follows your customers virtually, of course, learn why they are coming to your website. You know their specific activities know what makes them happy and prompts them to want to buy, this can do wonders for your ROI.
Think about it, when you know your visitors that intimately, it's easy for you to even adjust your content so that, it speaks to their needs and desires. You are able to convert at the end of the day.
The question is are you using your Google Analytics?
I think what is most daunting is the amount of data displayed on your Analytics page. It only takes you to start, look at one of the tabs at a time. It may take time to develop a taste for Analytics. But don't get hocked on it, it is addictive. Lol.
I think the idea of waiting until you have some data to analyze is a great idea but I'm not sure if we ever do go back and use Analytics to guide us in how we run our business. Maybe if I complete my training I could answer those questions. Lol.

So if you have installed Google Analytics and you have not visited, say in three months. I think it is time to pay it a visit. It could be fruitful for your business.

Yes I am using Google analytics and the last month was really the 1st month I had some feedback as I haven’t been here long. But it looks good. At the moment though I need more traffic to make it worthwhile. Looks great though.

Regarding all the talk below about MBA's, other degrees/Masters etc, in my humble opinion, I think NONE of that even comes close to the absolute 1 to 1 mentoring opportunities we have right here on WA.
Instead of just 'imagining' what it's like to 'make it' and be living our dream life on this journey already....we can simply ASK, those, whom there are many of....exactly how they did it, and what tips or tricks they may recommend in order to reproduce their type of success.
I personally don't use the awesome tools available to us on WA anywhere near enough...if I did, I'd likely be alot further along my own online journey already, as I have noticed, just about ANYTHING we do, or could get stuck on....someone here has usually created some decent training for us all to learn from.
So in some ways, when we're members here on WA, we almost have no excuse NOT to make this stuff work exactly how we want it to for us.
That's just my take on it...I'm still yet to see any of those deeply desired successes on my journey, but i know once I'm able to put more time into things like google analytics, it'll all hopefully start rolling a bit better soooooon!

Matty, you are 100% correct the training alone is enough to make it. the wealth of wisdom from successful members is a cherry on top. We should not be losing hope with all that. But getting on with the business of the day.
