Hi Guys

I guess I am one of many who joined WA on Black Friday. I have been a member of a similar community, but decided WA was the right place for me.

However I ha

Sending a PM to Kyle or Carson would be the best place!

I leave feedback to people who appear unbiased in their views.

I also bought the Black Friday deal... but it's my 3rd year! lol

Probably the best way to give feedback is to PM Kyle or Carson themselves... They take a few days to answer but then you for sure know they have seen it.

Where do you best leave feedback and suggestions to wa?

Hi Guys

Before I entered WA not long ago, I had a WP-blog using domain-mapping to a Domain hosted by Godaddy (so when people typed in my domain name they would be directe

My domains have now been moved to WA, and I need to make sure when people type in a URL for my domain, the would see my blog hosted outside WA.

From different domain-mapping videos, it seems I need to make some changes within the Cpanel to enable domain mapping, as
my current blog host dont have a dedicated IP - This means you must use a CNAME record to map your domain, and you will need to use either www, or a subdomain of your URL (ie: blog.yoururl.com).

However I can't see how to access Cpanel in here?

The blog I try to connect to my domain and blog I try to connect is:

Domain: http://www.startbusinessbetter.com
Blog: http://startbusinessbetter.mlspsites.com/

Thanks for your help in advance!

Rasmus

You won't be able to use the same domain name both places. But if you want to use the current domain name on the outside blog, I'd look for training using the search bar above on how to point WA domains offsite. I'm pretty sure there is one, but I'm on mobile right now and can't search on my device. If you want to use that domain name here, then you're not going to be able to keep the other site active. If it's a Wordpress site, simply back it up, update the DNS to point to here and then restore the files and continue working, rather than duplicating the site, which has other issues as well (duplicate content, etc.)

Thanks a lot for your answer

I also only intend to continue to use my domain on my current WP blog, until a new site build here at WA with SiteRubix is ready. At that time I close my old blog, and intend to use my domain name for my new SiteRubix site.

I consider the possibility to backup my old site, close it and restore the data to my new site. I'm just not sure how the result will be, as I moving to a new WP-theme?
But I will give it a try, and understand you can 'sandbox' your site from WP util it is ready. In that way Google will not index the site, and assume I then can
1. make my new site 100% ready
2. Close my old site
3. Remove the checkmark in WP that sandbox my new site. Now when Google come and index my new site, my old site will not be active, and therefore I assume there would be no duplicated content?

That's correct, if you sandbox the new site so it can't be indexed and only turn it on after the other has been shut down, you should be fine.
