I know I’m not the first to go through this so hopefully some people who have seen how it all comes together can give me some guidance. I’ve written 16 articles ave

As others have said, you just have to keep going. Every niche is competitive and it takes time to gain favor from Google. I have had little to no success with social media, so I strictly focus on SEO with my posts.

There are many ways to get traffic, Google, YouTube, Pinterest, email marketing, etc, and honestly, it can be overwhelming. I just focus on writing quality one of a kind content.

It takes time and that is why so many people get frustrated and throw in the towel. I have been where you are, and it sucks. You just have to keep going.

Then when you think you have "made it", Google will throw an algorithm update your way and traffic will take a dive. Been there too.

Affiliate marketing is full of ups and downs. I understand your frustration and encourage you to keep your head down and keep plugging away.

I hope that you find it easy to continue to add to your site. I have found that I need to push forward and add at least two posts a week that are over 1,000 words. Just keep pushing ahead and you will find success. Wishing you all the best here in 2020 and the new decade we have just started as well

Hi Randy.

I totally understand how you feel because I was at the same spot 7 months ago and have asked the same question.

You know what? The answer was really simple: just keep doing what you are doing.

Your website is only 3 months old and only has 16 articles. It's too soon to tell. You probably are still in Google's "sandbox".

I know it's very frustrating that don't see any improvement or result after all the effort you have put in. Be patient and consistent will help you through this tough time.

I am in a very competitive niche as well. It took me 6 months to got out of the "sandbox" and published 80+ articles before I saw the first sale.

Hang in there. Keep moving forward. You will see some exciting moments and big results eventually.

Happy new year. May you have great success in 2020.

Amy

Thank you, Amy. I’m going to forge ahead like you said and hopefully I will break out of the sandbox too. I needed to see this.

Happy New Year!

Oh yeah, you definitely will see this. But how soon you will get out of the sandbox and see some good results depends on how much work you are putting in. If you publish 5 articles per week you will see the result faster than 2 articles per week.
Best of luck. : )

Stanly is correct. If you want a high traffic visitor to your website that is very good but you have to spend a lot of time and money so that you can attract visitors. I myself have organic visitors sometimes 13 but not lessthan 50 traffics per week

that is very organic.

You can do Pay per click and this will advertise your website.

Randy, even though the objective of content and SEO is to drive organic traffic, it is going to take time.

Your website is like a retail shop. You set it up and are now waiting for people to come it. If you put your shop in a high traffic area, some people may walk in. Otherwise, you got no one walking in.

Traffic requires a constant and intentional effort. In traditional businesses, it is called marketing. You noticed that affiliate marketing also contain the same word. Therefore, we need to market, not just build our affiliate sites. That is only the affiliate part.

I suggest you start by communicating you site to people you know, by email, word of mouth or your Facebook/LinkedIn posts.

Use the Site Comments to get user comments on your posts. Get engagement and activity.

Cheers,
Stanley

I'm trying to stay positive because I am in it for the long haul. That said, I don't understand why I have zero traffic to my website.

I have original content with g

I wouldn't worry too much at this point. I'm also in the same boat and I'm still not ranked in the first page, which is what jaaxy shows! I also have over 10 posts but I think that in order for search engines to trust your site, you need way more than that because there are so many websites out there. HUGE competition!!

At the rate you're going, I'm pretty sure you will start to see traffic after 3 months :)

Hope this helps. Good luck!

This is pretty normal, Google still needs time to develop that trust within your site.

It took me at least 2 to 3 months to start seeing organic traffic.

Use at least 3 to 4 interlinks and use 1 link out to authority site, for each of your post.

Keep writing and using Jaxy. Aim for long tail keywords with a low qsr and high traffic volume.

Keep going, you’re doing great!

It's just weird because I have indexed articles but Jaaxy shows them as unranked.

I don't understand what the interlinks are. Is there a place I can learn what this is and what to do?

I can go back in each article and link out to an authority site for certain.

Thanks for helping me out.

Jaxy and the Google console may not communicate on time or correctly.

But as long as it says “site has been indexed” on the Google console for your pages, then you’re good.

I wouldn’t focus on stats right now, it’s too early in the game. You’ll need to focus on producing more posts with long tail keywords in your titles, and everything will fall into place.

For interlinks, just link to your pages that are relevant.

Yep, have at least 1 link linking to authority sites, for most of your posts.

the one thing you don't say is market - affiliate marketing has two sides
unfortunately it is not a process of ' i build it and they will come' you need to go look for them and tell them about you
you can participate within chat rooms or post on social media - but you need to get your name out there or the grass will start to grow.
good luck
phil

OK. It's a learning process so I guess that can be my next step but I don't think my article keywords with my website name are showing up as ranked anywhere. That's troubling when I know I'm indexed and even some of my articles are indexed.

ranking takes time - it can take upto 34 weeks to get to 90% of your final rank so.....
but if your articles are not starting to rank within 3 months then maybe you need to look at who you are up agianst with the keywords ( you should do that at the start) - can you beat who is on page one - if not then tweak the keyword until you can.
pick high competition keywords and you will take long time to rank - pick low hanging fruit keywords and your ranking life will be easier.

Quit normal. Usually around the 3-4 month mark is when you really start to see some breakthroughs in the search engines. Where are you currently seeing your new articles rank in the search engines?

You should be using Jaaxy SiteRank to check that out.

I don’t think I have used this yet. I need to see how it works.

I’ll look for training in that Jaaxy feature. I love Jaaxy by the way.

I searched in Jaaxy SiteRank by plugging in my website name and the article keyword and because I am on Jaaxy Lite, it will only search page 1 and I am not on page 1 in google for anything

Am I doing my article titles incorrectly? Am I supposed to limit it entirely to the keyword?

For example, for the Keyword "Private Student College Loans", my Article title reads as follows:

"Private Student College Loans - Bridging the Gap Between School Costs & Federal Loans, Grants & Scholarships"

Is this what is messing me up because of the 2nd half of the title???

My only advice is to continue doing what you're doing, along with continuing the training. At the rate you're going, traffic will come, Randy!

I know how to access wordpress through WA. Is there a website link to access it through Wordpress directly and hhat username/email and password would I use??? Thanks and sorr

I would think it will ask you for the email address you use on your WA account and password. Try that on the Wordpress site and see.

Lily 😊

It didn't work. I think the link is supposed to be at wordpress.org not dot com.

Use the “Websites” button on the left menu bar. Then go to “Site Manager” Your websites are listed there and you can login directly from there.

Right, I know how to do it through Wealthy Affiliates but I am trying to figure out how to do it from the Wordpress Website itself

Click on the password so you know the password. After that you enter Wordpress login pages and use the username and password.

Default WP login page are:

www.example.com/wp-login.
www.example.com/admin.
www.example.com/login.

Where do I get the see name and password from since I joined WA and have been accessing it that way?

Websites -> Site Manager -> domain -> login

Pop- up window, “Your Website Administrator Users”

Thanks, Stanley! Much appreciated.
