I have a web site hosted by ipage and want to transfer it to wa. How do I do that?
It looks like you built it using their "drag and drop builder"?
Are you wanting to keep the website as it is or are you wanting to add more content to it as you follow the training at WA?
If you want to keep it as it is and not add more content to it then you would have to download the html files off of ipage, change the nameservers of your domain to what georgejhaas mentioned, add your domain to the websites and hosting areas, install wordpress, delete the wordpress files, and then upload your old website files.
If you did the above you would find it very difficult to add new content should you want to.
An easier option would be too copy the content of each page, change the name servers, install wordpress, and recreate your pages within your new WordPress website. You might not get the exact design as you currently have, but in the long term it would be more beneficial and easier to have it as a WordPress website
Hi,
You will need to change the hosting location from ipage to WA. To do this you will need to add the following to the DNS settings:
ns1.mywahosting.com - Primary server
ns2.mywahosting.com - Secondary server
Either you have access to your control panel where you can change this setting. Or, you will have to contact customer support where your domain is hosted and find out how to make this change to the primary and secondary servers.
After this is done, your domain will now be hosted at WA.
I hope this helps.
George

I want to know if I can use that site.
I have gone to ipage and tried to back up my web site but there is no place to back it up. Don't know what to do.
Well, I have tried and can't figure out where I save it. I guess I am one of those "goofs" that can't figure the computer out! HELP!!!
When you go to save it make sure you look
at the top of the window that says save as:
See where it is saving it or choose from the
drop down where you want it saved.
You would first have to back up your website at iPage.
Then change the dns to Wealthy Affiliate.
Create the website in your WA account
Then upload the saved website to WA
