How does a WA affiliate get commissions by promoting Amazon products ?
Do I need to sign-up with amazon for this ? or does WA have an agreement in place for this ? Does WA
You need to sign up with Amazons Associate Program to promote any and all amazon products. And it is Amazon that will be paying you your commissions.
Here's the link to join their program (it's free)

Amazon provides you with all the images - text links and all other promotion material - and you will find all that in your associates back office once you sign up.
Hope that helps

Amazon (and every other affiliate program) is independent from WA and you'll need to apply seperately. Once you're an Amazon affiliate they provide you with product images you can use.

I was told I could pay for the full year which works out to much less per month basis. I don't see that option here ?
Hey Rama there should be an option to upgrade yearly within the left hand sidebar under the black "affiliate bootcamp" button, unless they changed it. You could also you within your account settings (bottom lefthand sidebar) and edit your subscription there I believe.
actually it would be cheaper if you signed up for yearly right after you upgrade to premium, even at $19 for the first month.
Once you upgrade to premium, and if you decide to go yearly right away, WA will deduct $19 off the $359 yearly fee, making it $340 for 12 months = $28.33/month
If you go through the first month of premium at $19, then upgrade yearly after that for $359, then you are paying a total of $378 for 13 months = $29.08/month
Not that big of a deal...since either way is still cheaper than just paying $47/month...
You have to sign up for monthly, then you can immediately sign up for yearly (with your monthly subscription deducted). If you sign up for monthly then don't sign up for yearly straight away, you will still get a pro rata deduction during the full course of that month
