Wow, Busy or What!

Introduction

Good Morning to all you lovely folk at the WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well. Thought I would do this early as I have a lot that I wish to get done before I settle down to watch the football tonight,

Did think that given that I was going to concentrate on list building this week that I would not be either over stretched or frantically busy, how wrong can you be!.

As a total aside have been in and out of the top 100 again in the last week, always amuses me when this happens as I do not appear to do anything any different. Just visiting live chat daily and answering remarks where needed.

The Past Few Days

Think that I said last week that I needed to get out lots of paper to sort out some sort of plan for the future.

This I did using both A2 and A4 drawing paper, laid out a map, which can be called a suggestion of what goes where, this has resulted in the following thoughts and ideas coming to the front of the planning for the future.

You may recall that sometime ago I decided to add a shop to my main domain name, have for the past few weeks toyed with the idea of opening one, to supplement all my other bits and pieces.

Whilst searching the files for items and articles to assist with my list building, had a major surprise! A complete shop ready to be uploaded and launched. It does require some work and amendments before it is totally up and running, but it does now sit on the correct domain ready to be totally launched when I am ready.

Before you all think that not only is he going off on a tangent again and overdoing it, let me explain a little further.

Building a list is a priority, but to do so I have to have various other items in place first. If I can launch the shop, which will have a number of items in it, such as books, software, videos and checklists, then people can be sent to it via my main site, which will have the opt-in form on it.

This leads to the usual freebie, then into the shop, they go on the list, my emails can then be sent. Do realise that there is a lot more to it, then the bald statement which I have just written.

Do think that despite the work, that I am slowly getting it all together, am having to be very careful that:

• I do not overdo things.
• Take on too much so that I cannot cope.
• Get totally confused and end up in a mess, with nothing done.

Having just read those bullet points must ensure that:

• I have a plan that is workable
• A timetable that I can mange to stick to.
• Be completely organised.

Just to backtrack slightly, had decided to hold fire on the newsletter for a while, as I was not happy with certain things, or my ability to build a list with it. Hence the other thoughts, having discussed this with my mentor, one thing that he did not like was the layout of the newsletter.

He has now offered to sort out a couple of different templates for me, this of course will take time, but it does help with my overall plan.

Thought For The Week

This really appealed to how I am thinking at the moment, it also may just make you smile.

I would also be interested in your thoughts and comments, is the saying true or not?

The Next Few Days

As we approach the weekend, it will of course depend on the weather, as I really need to get in the garden for a few hours, appear to be fighting a losing battle with the weeds, but we will see.

It is obvious that I will be concentrating on getting the shop ready to launch, whilst I appreciate that it just may not happen this week, given the amount of work involved, with luck may at least get some phases of it done.

Need to finish of the shop dashboard, also find more products to add. This could be fun as all the books have to be checked, re-written or in some cases written. However it is not my intention to do it all at once, just a little at a time. Have been able to check one book, which is now good to go.

Other items also need to be added to make the site worth a visit, have been considering resurrecting a standalone blog, this I used to write on sometimes twice a week, long abandoned, thought that this could be another gateway into the site(s).

Looking at these notes, I am beginning to realise that:

• I do appear to have a plan of action
• I do know what I am doing
• I do know how to get there
• I fully realise the amount of time and effort required to achieve my objective.

Think that sometimes it is easy to sit here and type what I need to do, it is not always as easy to motivate yourself to do it.

Appreciate your thoughts that it is just a matter of making the effort, but it can depend I think on, not only your state of mind, how you feel that day, or actually getting off your rear and doing it.

It will be interesting to see just what I can achieve in these next few days.

Conclusion

Have to be honest I was dreading trying to load the shop onto the site, once I had a grip of what I needed to do, found that it was not as difficult as I thought that it was going to be.

Still do have some other bits to finish off, such as the various tweaks that always need to be done, when you set up a new site.

In general, though I have done things that I did not intend to this week, I am reasonably happy with what has been accomplished.
