What A Week It Has Been

Introduction

Good Evening to all you lovely people at the wonderful WA Family, as always in these troubled times do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

Appreciate that I normally write my weekly blog on a Saturday, or even a Sunday, but I wish to spend the weekend sorting out some of my ideas from this week, without having to stop and write a blog.

Having said that I wish to think over the weekend, if the weather is decent will try to play with my portable battery hedge trimmer, the conifer hedge next door is beginning to annoy me. After years of trying, three trees which adjoin our property have finally been felled this week, so we have daylight at last. These were planted incorrectly many years ago despite my saying that it was wrong being far too close to the house. Some eight metres instead of thirty and fifty

However an update on the past week.

The Past Week

The fun began last Sunday, when I had a problem in cooking the Sunday roast, due to the oven being temperamental, by Monday it had packed up all together, as it is a built in oven, one running on electric, I have no intention of replacing it due to the cost of ripping everything out.

So after a chat we ordered a mini oven which arrived on Thursday, it seems to be OK, just got to get used to how long everything takes, and which shelf it should be on. There are two hot plates as well for extra pans should we need them.

Before I go on to discuss the business side of things, this morning took my car in for its service and MOT, which it passed, but having said that, thanks to Covid, have done less than one thousand miles this year. When I was walking home noticed that the light was on in the computer shop which I use, the guy came to the door, told him my problem, to which he replied, think that it is malware caused by Facebook. So that is booked in for next week, if he is right, then that will save me a pile of cash.

Managed to write and post an article to my Family History site, the content surprised some, as they were unaware that it existed, so that pleased me. I will be even more pleased if the desk top computer is restored, given the articles that are completed and ready to post.

Began to start some advertising, one of the sites which I use has had a complete revamp, nearly got lost, having said that have read all the new information, it looks as if it could be good news, given what I can post on it with regard to banners and other items. Must re-read everything again, before I plan a new campaign using it.

Do intend to really hammer my other site, this is some of the work which I want to contemplate over the weekend, rather than waste the working week which I tend to do. Planning is fine, but not if it continually stops me working.

Just before I started this, did rough out a piece of content for another of my neglected sites, just had a moment as you do.

Looking at my other site to sort out the advertising, realised that I can increase the shops which I have on there, have a Clickbank Store and my PLR Store, will now add a couple more in the next week or so, just watch this space, as it does need some research. To put it mildly.

Think that I mentioned sometime ago that I have a number of books written, intending to launch a bookshop. Mentioned this to a contact who I have known for quite a while, he has suggested acting as a mentor for me on this, as this is something that he does daily, publish books.

Did spend a little time with my graphic designer, this could be great fun.

This Coming Week

If my chat with myself goes to plan, will hopefully get something going on the advertising front, using the site that I have found. Originally I was going to blast a number of sites, but feel that I ought to concentrate on this one first, then let rip with the other ones later.

Will have to decide what to do with my article for the Family History Site, as I cannot see me getting my computer back for several days, this week my mind is a blank so far, another reason for writing this tonight, to give me more thinking time.

As I will not be starting with my mentor much before next weekend, may be able to have a look at the shops to put on my other website.

Need to write some sales pages, ready for a product which I have in the wings, do have some old ones which I can re purpose, but decided just to have a look at some of the ones that are doing the rounds at the moment.

It astonished me just how long some of them are, every single one of those that went on for ever, would have bored me to tears if I had been interested in the product, I would have found myself switching off after a few minutes. Stayed the course with two until I got to thirty minutes, when I decided that enough was enough.

Is this me being "picky" or does anyone else think the same. Always believed that short and to the point was the best sales tactic, could of course, be totally out of touch.

Each evening, late on, have managed to spend around an hour inputting into the Famiy Tree which I have on my laptop.

Conclusion

A funny week in some ways, but once again think that I can see where I am trying to go, as always far to slowly, but then again I was always impatient.

What is that old saying "Slowly, Slowly, catchee Monkey", some truth in it I think.
