The PC Is Back Home
Introduction
Good Evening to all you lovely people at the WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.
The title says it all, here I am typing away on a full size keyboard again. I am not knocking my laptop, it has been great, so glad that I bought it, to use for my meetings in London all those years ago.
The computer had picked up an infection of some sort, but it is all sorted out now, a new, upgraded and larger hard drive, plus a new power pack, the other one was getting noisy and could have stopped at anytime, so thought lets get it done, while he has the computer in the shop. I am very lucky to have such good support at my local computer shop. Whilst the bill was not cheap it was very reasonable as he serviced it at the same time, also a lot cheaper than forking out for a new one.

Having to use my laptop, I was able to transfer my working files to it, as I have them on a USB, this has taught me to buy more memory sticks and keep them loaded with back up files, also those that come into the I might or might not need them category, these of course will be deleted from the hard drive, to save space, once they have been transferred.
This may sound silly, but, a question for you all, I assume that I can put opt-in forms and sell products on the site without being banned or getting told off? Really trying to motor now! Advice welcomed.
The Last Seven Days
Have actually been quite busy, not just on the business but on some home and private stuff.
Spent a lot of time getting advertising space lined up, hopefully I will be able to start to use it next week. Did also have a look at some of my books which I have either written, started to, or they are just titled as an idea.
Was able to get an article posted on the Family History site, at least I will not have to rack my brains next week, being able to access those articles that I have already written.
You may recall last week that I said that I was going to be mentored to help me sort out my book store, and generally take me in hand to get things moving. Yesterday a large envelope arrived, containing a book, a USB and some other bits and pieces which he would like me to read and see first.
Have read the book, some of the loose papers and seen the first video on the USB. Already I have picked up one or two ideas, just hope that this idea works. He has certainly fired me up already.
The Next Seven Days
The use of seven days is as you will gather used very loosely, as I intend to write these notes or blogs, at the weekend as and when I feel in the mood to do so.
It was my intention to start loading up some adverts this weekend, but if not, then they can be pushed into next week.
Intend to continue with my training, also hopefully have a good look at some of my books, getting them ready to publish, when I am confident enough, and have had enough guidance to do so.
Forgot to mention that the first of my plug plants arrived today, so have twenty trailing fuchsias to pot on tomorrow, the weather has been so cold they will have to go on a window ledge for a few days, before I put them in my little plastic greenhouse.
As I have promised my wife to finish off the bits in the kitchen which I was unable to reach, will not give myself anything else to do next week.
Conclusion
An interesting week, with lessons learned regarding the computer.
Feel that however small, have made a little progress, especially with the advertising, not forgetting my training with my mentor.
Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy,
Please do stay safe,
God Bless
Stuart

So do I. When I use a laptop, I use a regular keyboard because I keep getting my fingers between the keys on the laptop.
I thought that it was just me, also the type jumps when I touch the pad, as I prefer to use a mouse.
When I first got my laptop, I'd be typing away, and suddenly lose everything I'd written because of the square "mouse" in the middle of the keyboard. If I accidently bumped it, I lost all my work. GRRR!
So glad you computer is fixed. The big screen and keyboard do make a difference.
I am not sure what you mean by this comment: I assume that I can put opt-in forms and sell products on the site without being banned or getting told off? Really trying to motor now! Advice welcomed.]
You can do the above on your own website but not in the WA community forum.
Does that answer your question?
Do have a great weekend.
