Ten Months - Starting to see the Light
Introduction:
Good Morning to all you lovely people at the WA,
It is Sunday morning here in a cold, very wet and windy South Derbyshire.
I find it hard to believe that I have been a premium member for ten months, which I achieved last Monday.
May not have made any money yet but have learned so many thanks to you all, also have amassed a huge amount of material. For once despite losing two days again to pre-booked events, guess what I can really see the wood from the trees, as I feel this week that I have achieved something.
Update:
Set myself a few little targets to get done this week:
The first was to write, amend and complete a lead magnet by Friday 15th February, completed Friday 7th February.
The second was sort, decide and unzip other material to help do my funnels and emails when I am ready to launch. This is well underway, have now got a number of up sells to use, also many email inserts which will come in handy, even if they do need to be amended.
Discovered a very large and useful file of PLR, on a couple of my subjects, have begun to print some out so that I can read them on the train on Tuesday, when I attend a reception with Members of Parliament from my Legion Area at the House of Commons. (Promise no talk of Brexit!).
Thought that as I do not really want to carry my laptop, could use a small file case then amend and work on them whilst I am traveling. The plan is to combine them together to form a small report which can then be offered on the website in one shape or form, will decide when I have studied them. Could just make a blog or two instead.
Do need to use the time wisely as I am out all day on Friday, possibly Thursday morning as well.
Have managed to unzip a number of files, which were almost carrying dust in the download/document parts of the PC. These have now been moved to their correct files, in many cases had a quick glance, amazed at just how much good material is there.
Conclusion:
Will be working when I am able, on training, studying and preparing material to launch a serious funnel for the website. A decision will be made next weekend to enable me to prepare a specific timetable of what I need to do to achieve this goal.
Must confess that I am very heartened by what I have found this week and achieved. Feeling a little jaded today after my trip to conference yesterday, but the scenery in the Derbyshire Dales, on a lovely bright day did make it worthwhile. Which is why I will have a nice quiet day, once I have cooked the Sunday Lunch.
Until next Sunday.
Take care,

Happy 10 month anniversary, Stuart and glad that you are making good progress.
Keep Moving Forward,
Wayne
P.S. By the by, It is currently -3 C and snowing here on the southwest coast of British Columbia, Canada. Getting prettier by the minute.
HA HA HA! Don't mind at all. It has taken up until this past week of winter, so far, before we have seen this kind of winter.
For the most part, our winter has been somewhat wet but the temps have been mild compared to the norms.
Our local Ski hills have gotten a little over 240 centimeters of the white stuff which is good but is only a little more than 50% of normal.
I don't mind if it stays up there but we will need at least double what is up there now in order to have enough for the summer months.
There is still time as our local mountains can get snowfall into the middle of April. So we will see.
No offense taken, I totally understand. Made me laugh.
Hope your weather improves soon.
Wayne
Hi Wayne,
Would it be rude if I said it is a really lovely spring like day here, the sun is shining, the wind has dropped and it really is quite pleasant. Even had a walk round the garden, after going for my paper.
Stuart
Hi Wayne Ten months with WA. and yes you did so much thanks for having you with us. Keep up the good work. All the best.
Whenever we think of Derbyshire, which is a beautiful place, we think of Bakewell, which then gets us thinking about the cakes! We miss those so much!
Great post, Stuart. Setting little targets is a great way to get things done bit by bit.
Have a wonderful, week.
Colette and Philip
Hi Colette and Phillip,
It is strange as I drove through Bakewell on my way to the conference, this was held at Thornbridge Hall at Ashford under Water, very close to Bakewell.
My youngest grandson, who is now 14, still calls them "Granddad Cakes" as when he was very young I used to buy them for him, still do come to that.
Stuart
Wish you could send some our way!
Your grandson will always treasure that memory of you, Stuart.
Hi Stuart,
From my perspective , it looks like the time spent traveling to events is giving you time to regroup and refocus. That's always a good thing. Plus, a drive through the country-side is good for the soul. Thanks for sharing with us.
Best,
Nancy
Many thanks Nancy, think that you could be right, as I am less tense wondering what to do first, seem a little more organised.
Regards
Stuart
I visited most parts of England during my 56 years there but Derbyshire is one area that seems to have escaped me. I’ll have to put that right the next time I am over.
Best of luck with your goals,
Steve.
Stuart, what a great post. Very inspiring and I love the images with the quotes. I have visited the Derbyshire Dale's and it's beautiful. I lived and worked in Harrogate some years back, at Menwith Hill Station and being in the RAF I'm sure you've heard of it. But it is a great article and keep up the great work.
Danny
