Introduction

Good Morning to all you lovely people at the WA, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

You did read the opening words right, it is morning, usually I do this later on a Saturday Evening, but my plans for the day make this very unlikely to happen.

The heading is a little bit of tongue-in-cheek, also playing with trying to use headlines to grab attention when I launch my new website, as this is an area that I am aware of that needs some work.

As you will be aware, I am building a completely new site, with everything that is needed to hopefully make it work, hence the title.

Fortunately I can call on over two years on this site to help me do the job properly this time, not forgetting all the awesome advice that I receive from you lovely people.

So just what have I been doing?

The Last Four Days

For once the standard answer to the last sentence of "Not a lot", does not apply, I have actually been quite busy doing a number of things.

Mentioned that I need to do a lot of training, or in some subjects a little revision. Have now raised a file specifically for all my training notes, software and other such items. This has now become my training library. At least I now know where to look should I need to check on a particular item, such as social media or writing headlines.

Have been able to do a little training, which I have found to be very useful, trying to do a little each day.

Having been here at WA for quite a while, I am coming across subject matter hidden in many places, at least now they can be moved to the right file. They will of course need to be read to make sure that they are still current. If not consigned to either the memory stick (just in case) or the dustbin.

It is very easy to just bin things, then realise that there just might be a page, or a paragraph or sentence that could come in handy in the future.

Sometime ago I mentioned that I had a number of note books that needed checking. Yesterday, I decided to begin sorting out the mess that I call my office, just a little at a time, so I thought. Now have my table, where I lay out papers to work on and my computer desk really tidy. Have also been able to go through the note books, this has resulted in many pages of out-of-date paper being shredded. By out-of-date, should add, already used elsewhere, such as in blogs or articles.

With the Remebrance Day service being cancelled this year, the local Council arranged for the event to be filmed, the idea being that it will be streamed on the day. On Thursday the camera crew arrived and I, along with others, spent the morning doing our bit, whilst we were being filmed. Look forward to seeing any errors that I may have made, (Can think of at least one).

Today is the start of our Poppy Appeal Launch and the first time in more years than I care to remember that I am not needed, due to social distancing, at least I can do this instead.

Still bust sorting out the planning for the new website.

The Next Three Days

At the moment think that they will be spent on my list to decide what needs to go where on the new website, if time permits do some more training.

One good thing, I now have a number of empty note books which can be used for outlining my ideas before I get them onto the computer.

Still cannot decide on which niche to use, could be that it is a really streamlined version of what I intended, or a sub domain with others to follow.

Conclusion

The last sentence above, might just have given me the answer that I have been looking for. A number of sub domains running off the main one, have said before that writing to you all gives me inspiration.

Things are beginning to become clearer, as you will be aware I am very impatient, liking to get things done yesterday. At least it is the weekend when I do tend to calm down a little, and try to do things at home.

The problem that I have now, is, that my brain is buzzing with ideas, I just want to get on with my thoughts and get things moving.

Do intend to look at one area this weekend, whist I can remember what it is that I would like to possibly do with it, should it of course be suitable.

Will also need to think about planning the funnel(s), this means checking again the items that I might be able to use.
