Introduction

Good Afternoon to all you lovely people at the wonderful WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

The title this week is a result of the work that I have carried out over the past few weeks, though not a great deal this week due to personal commitments.

As I find more items to file away, so I began to realise just what a job I had undertaken, as a result sat down and had a very long think about just where was I going in the future. What were my plans? Do I in fact have any?

The Past Few Days

As I mentioned in my last blog, on Sunday I attended the re-dedication of the Founding Branches' Standards in the County my own Branch being one of them. A lovely service followed by a very pleasant reception. During the reception, the Lord Lt. presented framed certificates to each branch, commemorating their founding.

It was my pleasure and honour to receive the one for our Branch, sadly did not see any official photographer. My Branch Treasurer did take one on her phone, but have not seen the result!

From a business perspective, have continued to file and sort items out as they are found. Also did some training to keep my mind busy and to stop me being bored with repetition. Suppose that is posh for mind block, being bored or just getting fed up by not seeing any positive results.

During the great sort out I began to realise that although I was filing things in a fairly methodical manner, there was no plan in place for either:

What to do next or What to do with each file

This is the moment that I decided that I really had to just slow down for a while, make decisions as to where I go next.

At this moment in time I am not totally sure just what I intend to do, hence the need to plan.

I did spend sometime yesterday making a list of my thoughts regarding where I need to be. Do feel that I am heading in the right direction, it is just a matter of putting things in the right place, in the hope that I can really move forward.

Forgot to mention that one thing I am laying out is the script for a video, using power point, have realised that I will need some form of introduction to whatever I decide to do.

Thought Of The Week

Given what I have had to ponder this week, felt that this said it all.

With luck, I might just find the right way to tackle the problem which I have at the moment, one can never tell, can one!

The Next Few Days

If I was in any doubt about what I will be doing this week the comments that I made regarding getting, to put it mildly very confused, put things into perspective.

Having made a list of thoughts regarding where I need to be, feel the next step will be to analyse what I have for which website, from there sort out just one project. Think that more lists need doing first to ensure that I make the right choice.

This does mean that I will be carrying on sorting out what I find and filing these away, ready for making the major decision as to how to forge the future.

Conclusion

Having read the above notes it occurs to me that over the years I have gathered far too much information, products and other items. Possibly a few too many silver dollar moments in the past.

The thing to do now, is to be really hard on myself, plan properly, be sensible, lay out a total project for the future, just one topic, baby steps, nothing clever, just common sense.

This could take, not just a few days, but possibly a few weeks, however it must be done.

My blog next week could be either very interesting or rather pathetic.

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy.

Please do stay safe.

God Bless

Stuart

It’s the tortoise that wins the race. Baby steps lead to bigger steps and then running. Keep it up. Great blog. Thanks.
Stephen

Thanks Stephen, your words are so very true.

Hi Stuart, Hope you're doing well! There's lots of planning and filing going on. Hopefully you can prioritise what you need to so you can start to take action.
Take care
Cheers
Melissa

Thanks Melissa, with luck I might just get there.

Stuart

It does seem as if you are trying to take too many tasks on at the same time my friend!

I have been accused of this in the past believe it or not! But, prioritizing is the best advice I can give. Do what is most important for you and those around you FIRST, then the rest will follow as it's meant to be.

Many thanks for this Jessie. you are so right which I know realise..

Anytime my friend, I hope that you are enjoying a sublime Sunday.:-)

Sure am Jessie.

It sure sounds like you are pondering over and planning a great many things, Stuart! That is where it all begins!

Jeff

Cheers Jeff

Cheers, Stuart!

Hi Edwin
I do understand where you're coming from with this!

However, too much deliberate analysis can easily lead to paralysis (as I'm sure you know!).

Are you at a stage where you can decide what your major priorities are? If you're at that stage, then you might do well to focus on "the main chance" ... focus on your top three priorities and ignore the rest until your top priorities are under control.
:-)
Richard

Richard, super advice. thank you so much.

Stuart

I think, Edwin, you'll find that if you take that approach, all the important stuff will get handled and other stuff will prove over time to be pointless and get dropped.

The FOMO trap is what stops us from dropping things off our lists.

So make a complete list of everything, decide your priorities based on what you really want to achieve, and get on with them. Everything else can stay on your list just in case your priorities change over time.
:-)
Richard

Cheers Richard, that is the plan now.
