Good Morning All at the WA,

The choice of title is reflective of the week which I have had. I realized that my desk top computer really needed a service. It so happens that I met the Guy whose shop I use whilst out shopping, asked him when it was OK to bring it in. he kindly said have my son at the playschool opposite your house, meet me with it on Tuesday morning and I will take it to the shop myself.

This I duly did, back Thursday he said, come Thursday he had made a mistake, I meant I would do it on Thursday, back tomorrow. I advised that I needed access to some documents no later than that evening. We compromised, I would go down after 4pm, as I can park outside the shop after that time.

Went to pick up my machine, he has doubled the RAM and fitted Windows 10, Boy am I having fun trying to work this all out, I will get there eventually, think that a programme that I have might help, when I can find it amongst all the changes.

Had my PC all laid out in files, one look and I knew where just about anything was. Now I have a long list to read before I can do anything, such is progress.

Whilst I did not have my desktop for a few days, went on the laptop, did some searching and found a 21 video tutorial on Pinterest, which not still being Social Media savvy, watched it all, absolutely fascinating, did not realize just how good this could be for my business. Know Erin did say how much she liked it. So as things develop will be getting a pinterest business account.

Do realize that I have a lot of studying to do regarding Social Media, so will try to fit it in around the business.

Have always liked infographics, this week amongst the "did not know that I had it pile", found some (useful) advice on using them to enhance my sales. Last night spent some time searching sites for infographic templates. Found a couple that I like so today will get some material ready and have a play. Ye, I know I was having Sunday's off, apart from this blog, but having had a funny week for the business am quite fired up, and raring to go again.

Promise that it will not be all day!

Have also found a number of other programmes that will be very useful, so was worth the wait, as I would not have done the checking that I have. Do have to remove some clutter from the PC though.

Yesterday saw me attend the last of my two County Annual Conferences for this month, again was touched by the nice comments that were passed over my six year tenure. Have just one more to do now in February.

Will sign off for now and get working.

Have a great week.

Stuart

Thanks for sharing.

It is hard at first when you start something new and I am happy that it is working out for you. I took my computer for repairs and it was upgraded to Windows 10 and I am having no fun at all, It's taking me a long time to read and get things done. I am trying to make the best of it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for this Elores, glad that I am not alone on this.

Wow! The changes on your computer sound like they will make a big difference.

Sounds like you have also found some good new information. That is always helpful. Enjoy all these new changes.

Intend to try.

Hi Stuart looks like you have inadvertently injected some fun back into your journey.

Best wishes as you start exploring the possibilities.

You will be starting to have mixed emotions as you wind down your involvement, with only the February one to go.

Enjoy your renovated computer.

Alex.

Hi Alex,

Fun, could think of another word or three.

Mixed emotions is certainly right, after six years at National level I will certainly miss it.

Tried Windows 10....talk about an uphill learning curve. Went back to my comfort operating zone, Windows 7. Still a few of us fossils hanging around there.

Would agree about going back to Windows 7, the only snag is it would mean a new pc when the upgrades stop, this has given me another 4/5 years.
All good fun.

Congrats on your upgraded pc, Stuart! Let’s get the engine starts now! All the best to your success! :o)

Many thanks.

You are most welcome! :o)
