Just in Case, or Before I Forget
Just in case what I can hear you ask, or even has he got so old that he cannot even remember!, nothing so serious. I am going away on Sunday for a few days, so I am making sure that I get a WA Blog in before I go.
As I am leaving early Sunday morning, need to be packed and organized, so I do not forget anything. I am going with the Royal British Legion to Ypres in Belgium. Ninety years ago on Wednesday some 10,000 widows and veterans marched through the Menin Gate to remember those who lost their lives in World War One. We will be remembering them all, when we march through the Menin Gate, I am very proud, privileged and humbled to be a member of the Membership Council, who will march behind the National Chairman, at the head of over 1100 Standards, 1100 wreath bearers and a lot of other people.
Forgot to mention that the Bowler Hat has to come out of its bag, 'so we look the part'!
In addition to the parade we will attend a service in the Market Square at Ypres and then spend time mingling with those from all over the world who have come to be with us. August 8th also marks the start of the last 100 days of the commemorations of the War.
We will spend the first two days touring the battlefields, I did go four years ago but this is rather special.
OK back to work, sorry the WA, whilst my training is still coming on slowly, I am learning a lot of other things. I am spending an hour a day on sorting out my PLR material for my eBook series, talking of which a little help please. I am using Canva to do my book covers, it is really good, but have hit a snag, when I download it (PDF) to my document folder cannot get it to upload to my article. Any bright ideas will be most welcome.
As you will appreciate my time will be very short whilst I am away so the WA mail will possibly not even be opened once I arrive, late on Sunday, so apologies for those whom I tend to reply too. I am taking my tablet but it is not quite the same as the laptop or PC. We are returning early/late evening on Thursday, so it could be late Friday, before I play at catch up.
No doubt I will drop out of the top 200, of which I have been very proud to have been in for the last few weeks, but that cannot be helped.
One of Mum's cousins is on the Menin Gate Memorial, I will visit it again this time to pay my respects.
Have started to outline a new website on Meditation, as I feel this will go alongside my Yoga and Pilates site quite well, but this is just an embryo, as I want to really get cracking with Twitter when I get back, felt that it was no use before I went.
That will do for now, keep safe.
Until the next time.
God be with you.
Stuart

Busy time Stuart, enjoy your visit and the commemorations it is so important to remember those times and the sacrifices made.
Sounds like you are making huge progress, it is amazing how the training morphs as we go along it seems almost unplanned but then again many of the processes here in WA are very subtle.
Best wishes see you when you get back.
Thanks for highlighting this special commemoration. Although I was born 5 years after the end of WW 2. I visited Ypress whilst on an escorted tour of Bruges in May 2014. I was very moved when seeing some of the war graves especially when seeing how young some of the soldiers were .Hope you have a meaningful trip and return safely knowing you have done your part in memory of all those brave men who gave their lives to preserve our freedom.
What a beautiful and memorable trip this will be for you! So many to honor and by honoring them you honor yourself as well!
Write a bit on it when you return if you would. I'm.sure we would love to hear more! A bowler hat!!! I haven't seen one of those for a very long time.
Great progress and determination on WA. You are sure to be a success in time. Nothing good comes from something rushed!
Take care and have a lovely holiday!
