A Slight Change of Direction
Introduction
Good evening to you all at the wonderful WA Family, do so hope that you are keeping well and safe.
It makes me think that on seeing the title that you will have one of those "Oh! has he changed his mind yet again thoughts". Not quite is my reply but as you will see a more sensible approach is hopefully being adopted.
After my last blog, when I intended to go all out on building my list, with just a little look at my side hustle, I realised that the side hustle was in fact all about building a list. Hence the slight change of direction, why waste time attempting to build a list for my website, when the side hustle, if I got it going correctly, would do it for me.
Spare time can then be given to planning my site and funnel.
The Last Three Days
This really is only two days spent on work, as I now give most of Sunday, also Saturday over to my home life, something which I have often sadly neglected to do in the past, especially when I was in London such a lot when on the Membership Council. Mention of the Royal British Legion, reminds me that last weekend should have been our Annual Conference in Southport, this of course was canceled. Shame as I was looking forward to seeing old friends again.
Began to plan out in more detail my attack on the website, opt-in page, gifts and products, when I realised that I was doing it all wrong, hence the change in direction.
Have now begun work in earnest on the side hustle, getting an advert ready to promote it, also lining up some affiliate links to line alongside it. As suggested in my training on the site have a new email registered, purely for the side hustle, to gather the names which I hope to get, the idea being that it will keep those who wish to opt-in separate from my normal mails.
Spending sometime looking at the advertisements on the differing pages, to give me an idea of how to present mine. Also need to connect in my autoresponder.
Must confess that I am last beginning to get a little excited, or apprehensive, about getting it launched, but we will see.
When time permits am beginning to sort out the products that I can use on my site, seeing if they are good to go, need to be re-purposed or how else they fit into the equation.
Am still doing my live chat, it does raise some interesting points at times.
The Next Four Days
Think that it is evident from the above section that most of my time will now be spent getting the side hustle ready, if I get it right, not only will it give me a list, but also some cash as well.
Think that as long as I do not rush it, but plan it carefully then this could just be a good idea, that I have stumbled upon.
Do need to try to get the advert done in the next day or so, also connect up the autoresponder.
When I need a change have plenty to sort out for the website, so as usual will not be short of something to do.
Conclusion
Pleased that I realised before doing too much work on list building, the side hustle did it for me, surprises me sometimes that your brain does not always connect things as they should. Could be an age thing I suppose.
Managed to write more than I thought that I would tonight.
